Ottawa pulled off a great game. That being said, YES! YES! YES!

Absolutely. And Canadian teams are just as much made up of Americans and Europeans. It's just a little running thing among Canadians. The Olympics was incredible, though.

College football, basketball, the NFL, the NBA, and MLB. I may not be an expert, but these sports always keep me fascinated if the game is good!

I don't really care about the Olympics and a gold medal has always been beneath a Cup for me( and I assume most NHL guys ) so no. That being said I don't even care that much that a Canadian team hasn't won in 19 and by default 20 years.

    Conference

With the Rangers on to the next round, it makes me so happy since they are my favorite team and provides Canada another year without the Cup.

FYI, no team left in the Western Conference has won the Cup.

I don't even see the point in making predictions seeing how off my last ones were. My team is out, but some other teams that I like are in it. I'm going for Philly at this point. They should be able to beat New Jersey as long as Bryzgalov actually shows up.

That's true, but what may be even more surprising is the rarity of these teams even making the Stanley Cup Championship game.

The Coyotes (even previously as the Jets) and the Predators have never made the Stanley Cup Championship game.

St. Louis made the championship game 3 consecutive times, but the most recent time was 1970.

The LA Kings, who were talked of as being a team to move from LA to Canada due to low attendance, have been to the Stanley Cup Championship only once, back in 1993.

When was the last time anyone has said LA was going to be moved to Canada? While not a traditional hockey market LA has always had a pretty dedicated fanbase and in the last 20 years has always been more in the middle of NHL attendance.

There have been other teams that have had much worse attendance for far longer and have been threatened with relocation like Phoenix, Florida, Atlanta, and in Atlanta's case did get relocated to Winnipeg. And yet again Phoenix is in the relocation discussion especially with Quebec building a stadium and I think a place in Ontario just gave the greenlight to building a stadium.

It was in the 90's, and if you go and actually look at LA's attendance during the early 2000's before they started winning again, they were actually in the bottom 1/3 in attendance. Phoenix and Florida are always talked about ahead of LA because of their smaller markets, but Florida's attendance has always been consistent no matter how good or bad they are. Phoenix fluctuates solely based on the team.
