I highly recommend watching the documentary "This Film Is Not Yet Rated". It gives an eye opening account of the MPAA ratings board and exposes the MPAA for what they are.

It's so stupid that The Hunger Games, which child on child violence gets away with a PG-13 rating, but god forbid a movie has a few F-Words in it, something that kids hear all the time, it gets an R rating.

It's important that this film gets a wider audience. It address an issue that affect many kids and it's an issue that needs to have its awareness raised.

I can see them doing something like that as "special school edition" or something. I know Super Size Me has one.

Actually, from what I've observed, the MPAA is skiddish about sex. Nudity, too. Violence and scatological humor is A-OK, but flash a little skin? You get an R rating. (of course, there are exceptions to this, but I'm speaking generally)

I was more referring to sexual references, which drop like flies in PG-13 films.

Sure, Easy A and Couples Retreat were hilarious, but they deserved an R rating.

I read somewhere else that it got the PG-13 rating after they edited out two F-bombs from the movie.

They could've just avoided this whole thing by doing this in the first place. Eh, better late than never.
