Bittersweet news for Bulls fans: While winning Game 1 over the 76ers, Derrick Rose tore his ACL in the final minutes and will be out for the rest of the playoffs(and probably significant time next season).

Also, the Heat blew out the Knicks in Game1 by 30+ points.

Sorry for the lack of score updates, I was out of town on Monday-Wednesday and was sick and had a concert to attend on Thursday, so this was my first chance. I have now updated the first round schedule with the scores as well as new TV Times and stations for some of the game 5's.

    - Well, Dallas became the first team of the playoffs to be eliminated, being swept by the Thunder, 4-0.

    - New York avoided being swept today, winning over the Heat. It was also their first playoff victory in over a decade.

    - During the Lakers-Nuggets game, some female fan randomly walked onto the court before being escorted by security. Apparently, she has a history of stalking NBA players and is banned from the arena. So...yeah.

I'm having a hard time deciding who I think is going to win it all right now. At the beginning of the year I had said this was the Heat's season, especially with all the trades the Mavs had made. I'm not so sure now. Miami has struggled against Oklahoma City and San Antonio, who both look just as impressive if not more impressive than the Heat right now. The Heat have had everything align for them in the East with the loss of Derrick Rose for Chicago and the inconsistency of Rajon Rondo. The problem there is it means they won't be as well tested as the West teams- San Antonio, Oklahoma City, the Lakers, and the Clippers. Right now I'm leaning towards the western Conference repeating because the Eastern path may be too easy for Miami. Honestly, with the way the Spurs bench is outscoring teams and with the way the Thunder's big men can shut people out, I think the Western Conference Playoffs are the must watch playoffs and that there representative should win it all.

I can't be for certain, but my guess is that the Eastern Conference Semi's will start with 1 series Saturday and one series Sunday after the 76ers eliminated the Bulls and the Celtics eliminated the Hawks tonight. They have to wait to see what happens between the Clippers and Grizzlies tomorrow, but TNT was promised all Saturday games, and ABC is promised a double header Sunday. About the only way that can happen for certain is for one Eastern game to start Saturday and Sunday. If the Clippers eliminate the Grizzlies tomorrow, then you start Clippers/ Spurs on Sunday as well. If they don't, then you already have Clippers/ Grizzlies Game 7 on Sunday. It's about the only way I can think of for them to fulfill all contract obligations at this moment.

Update: Further evaluation at NBA.com shows I am correct. Philadelphia vs. Boston Game 1 will take place Saturday (Time still TBA since Lakers/ Nuggets Game 7 will take place the same night) and Indiana vs. Miami Game 1 will take place at 3:30 PM Sunday on ABC (meaning Clippers/ Grizzlies Game 7 or Clippers/ Spurs Game 1 will air at 1 PM on ABC).

Mercifully Chicago gets bounced. I hope they can somehow get rid of Boozer he is drizzling garbage. And the Lakers are just an embarrassment, when Kobe who physically is about half a man right now is the best player by far something is wrong. Bynum and Gasol were just terrible tonight. If I was Kobe I'd be furious.

The sad part is she was looking for Kenyon Martin apparently, who got traded awhile go. Nothing worse than a misinformed stalker.

Yes, those were awful games. Just awful, especially during the playoffs.

"I thought I played well, especially with the kind of season it was," Boozer said, when asked to asses his second season in Chicago. "We had the best record again in basketball, won our division again, had the top seed again, that's all that matters, yo."

A quote from the esteemed Carlos Boozer. Now I really want this useless can off the team. Yea Boozer the regular season is all that matters someone should have told Jordan, Magic, Bird, Russell, Kareem..hell any player who's ever played in the NBA that championships aren't the main goal.

The best thing he's ever done is make that stupid face when the Bulls squandered the lead with 2 seconds to go.

I'd love to see a Spurs-Clippers series. Will be very fun to watch, if CP3 and Blake stay healthy. Dream series: Spurs-Thunder. Might even show up at AT&T Center myself to watch.

Hope Nuggets eliminate Lakers tomorrow. Yes, I'm biased towards the Lakers. But they could win with Ron Artest's help, via elbow shot, clothesline or any other physical assault that takes out an opposing player.

It's kinda weird to be watching the first game of the second round and yet there are a couple teams that haven't made it out of the first round yet.

This shortened season has taken a toll on the teams. Already, there have been multiple games in the playoffs where teams have struggled to get past 50 points in the middle of the third quarter. It reminds me of watching college basketball.

Well, both LA teams have been eliminated from the playoffs. The Spurs and Thunder will face each other in the Western Conference Finals.

The East isn't quite settled. Also, Game 5 between the Heat-Pacers was the closest we'll get to 80's-early 90's NBA. Meaning hard, tough fouls and high scoring. Udonis Haslem and Dexter Pittman would fit in with the Bad Boy Pistons.

Well, if Game 1 is an indication, Spurs-Thunder will be an exciting series. Hope Heat-Celtics will be the same.

If the last series with Boston is any indication I seriously doubt it.

We'll see. I don't follow the NBA very closely. I prefer the NFL, but I do watch playoff basketball - at least when the games are in the second half. Never really saw much point in watching the first half. However, "inevitability" is always going to be a detriment. I don't hate the Heat. I don't really care. But it seems like their team is far too top-heavy to me. The Spurs look like they have the most depth out of any of the teams standing.

The Spurs haven't been beaten since mid April, they are on a 19 game win streak, playing the most complete basketball of all the teams in the playoffs, are all healthy, have more depth, one of the greatest coaches of all time, and probably playing with a bit of a chip on their shoulder after everyone called them done last year after getting destroyed by Memphis. If anything I think it's the other way around that no one is beating them.

Their streak mean nothing me at all, Their not beating LeBron James and D Wade the two best players in basketball who also got a bigger chip on their shoulder after last year Finals. Superstar always wins out at the end.
