Gee, Emma might actually have to believe something after this episode.

Yeah, I had a feeling Henry was gonna eat it instead. Emma bears too much weight on the storyline to have her just sleep there for a few episodes. Imagine an entire show that followed Mary Margaret around the whole time. Yeesh, boring.

That said, when Regina had one chance to grab one thing from Fabletown, why did she not go for an all-powerful wand or a genie or something?

Peter, I like your avatar. I just bought the series from amazon.com. I love Korra's brashyness...

I think the reason the Queen went after the apple was probably because of what Mr. Gold said about the curse. Kill Emma, it kills the curse... it would be simplier just to put her to sleep. The characters stay in the real world and she could just keep Emma somewhere she could control her.

Based on how long they strung everybody along with Lost, I wasn't expecting THAT many plot threads to be burned up completely. That cloud better have something good inside, or it'll be a disjointed Season 2.

GROAN at Emma kiss-curing Henry; I was afraid they were going there. I can't be the only one who wished he was really being written out at that point.

Good grief! Are we really going back to "Scrappy-Doo must die" syndrome?

Really enjoyed the finale. Saw the "true love's kiss" curing Henry from a mile away, but just went with it. Didn't think the curse itself would actually be broken, though. I'll be very curious to see what the second season holds now that all the residents of Storybrooke know who they are--and apparently have magic returning to them?

I've just seen the finale and now I'm really excited to see what will happen with all the characters! The ending of the first season really looks interesting, so it would be interesting to see how Regina and Rumpelstiltskin would be able to contain all the powers that might come back to them.

Well, it'll be nice to see Briar Rose (I'm a Brothers Grimm fan and will stick with their name, thank you). As for Mulan, yeah, you're right. The story of Hua Mulan would technically be considered a legend. As would stories of the likes of Robin Hood and King Arthur among others (wonder if they'll ever show up). However, if they limited themselves to fairy tales then they'd run out of stories to mine, seeing as they seem to want to play on the familiarity of the general public. It's too bad, seeing as there are plenty of unfamiliar fairy tales that are just awesome. Heck, if they wanted a kick-ass Chinese fairy tale girl, they should have gone with Li Chi: http://www.lair2000.net/Chinese_Poet...e_Serpent.html
Saturday Morning is not just part of the week. It's a state of mind.

Sorry to bump up a thread from months ago, but I'm a late player who's just starting out on Once Upon A Time (thank you, Netflix). I'm five episodes in and I'm really enjoying the show. It's cheesy, but it's entertaining nonetheless. I'm intrigued by the mystery, I love that these characters can be interpreted in different ways or have depth and enigma to explore (Is Regina really just all out evil or is there an underlying sympathy to her needs and motivation? What is Mr. Gold up to? And Episode Five is just a great character study for Archie/Jiminy). I am looking forward to how the rest of this series will play out. (Also, I heard Mulan is in Season Two and that makes me super excited; this is based purely on my bias love for the Disney film, I admit).

The only thing I hate so far: HENRY. I hate this kid. I really do not enjoy his "Ultra Resourceful, Super Smart, Can't Do No Wrong, I'm Always Right and The Plot Will Always Validate Him Even Though He's Super Obnoxious" type. He is the only black spot in an otherwise fun show.

He doesn't get better. I've wondered if his character is going to change in any way once he hits puberty, though, because I don't think you can write a teenager the same way.
