"The Biggest Movie of All Time 3D " Pre-Release Discussion (Spoilers)

    Like This Thread!
There back writers/directors Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer will soon be back with The Biggest Movie of All Time 3D, an Avatar spoof now in pre-production.

In "Scary Movie" we spoofed the creepy teen horror genre, in "Date Movie" we took on cliché romantic comedies, "Epic Movie" we parodied bloated blockbusters, "Meet the Spartans" we lampooned the ultra macho "300" and in "Vampires Suck" we skewered the cultural phenomenon "Twilight." But our new movie will dare spoof the biggest, boldest and most successful movie ever made – James Cameron's "Avatar."
With a domestic box office of nearly 700 million dollars and an overseas haul of over 2 billion, it was only a matter time before this behemoth got a good ribbing. And what could possibly be riper for satire? You got half naked blue people plugging their hair into strange flying horses so they can read their thoughts! And nothing in this mega blockbuster is off limits, from its overly simplified message of "big corporations = bad; tree hugging environmentalist = good," to the broadly drawn characters like the buffed out Colonel who's in a perpetual 'roid rage to the very colorful, glowing and... come on, totally stony world of Pandora. And just like "Avatar" our movie will be in eye popping 3-D – making it the very first spoof movie ever in this format. It's a perfect showcase for our outrageous sight gags, physical comedy and audacious stunts that will make for a hilarious film and uproarious audience experience.

Superman: I wouldn't miss this for anything.

    It looks kind of bad.

But I did notice in the "Headlines" from that site they had a trailer for "Green with envy"
    Spoiler:
    Muppets!
Although the headline gives that away.
But you can't see any muppets in the poster though.

I blame America for going to see "Vampires Suck."

Listen to these guys; is their ego really that big?

Seriously. Noy cool when people twist words, and falsify info the create a more extreme outcome.

Ex: "You got half naked blue people plugging their hair into strange flying horses so they can read their thoughts!"

I easily get the humor in the qoute, but c'mon...
    strange flying horses?

Those are called birds. Besides that, everything else was spot on.
People enjoyed the film for its 3D awesomeness. The story was 1 dimensional. No one (as far as I've heard) called this film a masterpiece. It was a great way to ease through 2.5 hours.
    Anime currently watching:

Haven't Avatar been parodied enough before these guys came around to make money off their "parody"?

Wow....seriously are people blind or really dumb? Why they are still supporting this crap? I don't wish something bad happen to someone but Friedberg/Seltzer are really pushing it on giving them some payback! Too bad i'm not Dan from Dan VS. or else i would totally get some explosives to get revenge on Friedberg/Seltzer for making those crappy movies.

I don't get the point of Vampires Suck. Twilight is already laughable. Isn't a parody kinda redundant?

I hate to admt this, but I am an IMMENSELY big fan of any spoof movie, even from these, and may pay to see THIS one, but the "Twilight" movie spoofing is not easy, for reaosns that the last poster "poweranimals" gave. [And while I'm at it "Scream 4/Scary Movie" as well. Still somehow it worked.]

I'm still waiting, with the big eighties boom again, for "Airplane!", to be remade, in a way, but the other 50 percent of me advises against it. I WOULD like to see if finally the that one's makers, Zucker,Abrahams, & Zucker, aka ZAZ, could come up with another one..but their MGM release with the late icon of thse types, Leslie Nielsen, "Superhero Movie", 2008, apparently basically flopped.,

Disaster Movie should have ENDED these movies when it bombed. As in put the ground, dead and buried. In light of DM bombing, how did Vampires Suck get greenlit, and how in the (George Carlin's 7 Dirty Words You Can't Say on Toonzone inserted here, plus 9 more for good measure) did THIS movie get greenlit?

Actually, we have. Just go watch the trailer for Avatar, as well as all the trailers for all the movies being released this summer. Add some characters getting battered in (your mileage may differ) hilarious ways, a little toilet humor and you have this movie's trailer.

I was listening to Spill.com's review of Vampires Suck yesterday, and Korey pretty muched summed up the negative effect these "films" have :

"The films that these two directors make are so blantant at being nothing more than a juvenile finger pointing at an image or mention of a popular trend that, to me, they seem exploitive of a young culture raised to have an ever-decreasing attention span, thanks to the internet and channel surfing and, this may sound a little crazy, but, I think it shows a slight de-evolution in what people will accept as entertainment."
