Spider-Man director Sam Raimi told reporters in Australia that he signed on to the proposed sequel just this week, according to a report on the Dark Horizons Web site. Spider-Man opens May 3.
so He'll be busy for a while.
Yeah, Spider-Man 2 is his next "BIG" project. And Evil Dead 4 is just a rumor/the title for his next "SMALL" project. Basically, Sam Raimi & Bruce "Dont call me ASH" Campbell are working on another "low budget"(not really, but it's about the size of Evil Dead 2's budget) horrorish flick, & while it's not exactly Evil Dead 4(or, at least they're telling us it's "NOT" Evil Dead 4), they're at least calling it that for now. But..what the movie is, no one really knows. Ahem..anyway, long answer short..."Spider-Man 2".![]()
I think the long awaited fan lusted, Bruce questioned, horror legend that is Evil Dead 4 should stay close to the genre. A final film that ties up all of them would be great. I'd love it if they made Ash from the first film a mirror version of the second - a sort of Ash from Earth 2 and a meeting of the two for a grand finale.
Actually that's a positively awful idea.
Keep me away from the script mate - I warn you, you'll regret it otherwise...
All those films sound cool though..

Spoiler:
In a recent interview, Raimi said that he had alot of fun working with Bruce in the past, and that he'd like to do more with him in the future.
The interview is probably still up at aintitcoolnews.com for those who haven't seen it.

Yeah, Raimi said his next project, after Spidey, is hopefully going to be Evil Dead 4 or maybe Green Lantern if he could land it. I don't know if that means most Spidey 1 or Spidey 2. He specifically mentioned those two titles.
wanna know whats wierd. at bruce campbell.com bruce pretty much said because of the funding factor that their would never be an evil dead4 yet from the sound it seems like there will be

Spoiler:
He plays the Ring announcer who gives Spider-man his name.
Also look for his brother, Ted Raimi (who plays Hoffman) (Who also appears in alot of Sam's movies.) And his business partner, Robert Tabert's wife Lucy Lawless (as a street punk)
Also for Old School wrestling fans, The Macho Man Randy Savage also has a cameo, as a wrestler (Bone Saw McGraw, he casted under his real name, Randy Poffo)
I don't think there's ever been a Raimi movie without cameos by Bruce and Ted. I love Raimi and he's one of the directors I study closely, but his work does lack some depth. While depth is a factor I would not welcome in films like Crimewave and The Evil Dead trilogy, I would have aperciated more in Darkman and For The Love of The Game.
The Quick and The Dead is a film I didn't like so much at first, because it was about a showdown tournament, and I thought, gunfights should occur naturally through the coarse of the film, not organized like this, but every time I saw the film I liked it more and more until I realized what it actually is. It's a remake of Enter: The Dragon.
So, Macho Man's real name is Poffo. Wasn't there a "Leaping" Lanny Paffo?
