"2011 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards" Talkback (Spoilers)

    Like This Thread!
Now, I know not that many of ya'll watch the KCA'S but this is a talkback thread for this year's KCA'S and all the previous years! So what's your opinion on the past KCA'S and this years KCA'S?

Me? I have to say many of the nominees these day are really boring. I wish Nick can add at least more different nominations. Especially in the Cartoon and Best TV Actor category!
: Pepper Spray? That sounds delicious! AAAAAHHHH! I was wrong! I was horribly wrong!

Did I ever mention my FanFiction?

I just wish they'd hurry up and give Spongebob a "Lifetime Achievement Award" for the Cartoon category already. Really, ever since it first won in 2003, it has won every year except for 2008 (when it lost to Avatar). Just give it an excuse to leave the category and let some other cartoons have a fighting chance.

It's a bit unfair that, no other cartoon has a opportunity to win. But I guess people just like Spongebob a lot. The adult and children audiences.

Just curious, can anime be nominated for this award?

Agreed. I'm not sure why they picked the same from last year. However The Simpsons were switched with Scooby-Doo MI this year at least.

If only some kids could compare Spongebob today to Spongebob or yesteryear. Which IMO most should since it's not like every viewer is under 5 years old.

I guess if it's popular with the kids.

I wonder how many kids in the audience are familiar with Snoop Dogg's first album, Doggystyle?

Yeah, there's no reason why they can't compare pre-movie Spongebob (seasons 1-3) with post-movie Spongebob. Nickelodeon still runs the older episodes as much as the newer episodes.

I think it's just that, since they all air mixed together, kids view it all (except for season 1's cel animation) as one continuous show. They probably don't notice any real drop in quality like us long-time viewers do, and might even judge their vote for Spongebob on those older episodes.

I know there's little chance of it happening but, I wish they had one for action shows. Then maybe Dragon Ball Z Kai, Young Justice, Pokemon, or another action show would have a fighting chance.

Ironically, Pokemon actually was in the Favorite Cartoon category at least once or twice back in its heyday.

Really? Well, I don't think anything on Cartoon Network action wise could be nominated though today, it's pretty sad. If only Cartoon Network worked harder to push there shows, and maybe they would be more popular.

Also on that note, Powerpuff Girls was in the Favorite Cartoon category a few times.

As for this year's winner...Spongebob Squarepants. THERE WAS NO CHANCE. NO CHANCE FOR ANY SHOW.

I think Spongebob is a good show, I've been in love with it since I was young. Apparently, the fact that it's the most advertised longest running cartoon in the U.S. on a well known channel is truly something. Maybe Cartoon Network needs to up it's game.

Justin, quit your mugging. I'm not sure how he received this Lifetime Achievement Award. What were the nominees?
I don't need a signature. I'm too cool for one. LOL

I noticed that many of the current Nicktoons were showing the awards for the nominees. Does this mean will get a Nicktoon theme event this year?

I doubt it. I don't even know who creates the themes.

Its not the longest running Cartoon in the U.S., I believe The Simpsons is.
