Whatever shows get pulled for November sweeps are the most likely to be axed before the end of the season.

Spoiler:
For those who are whats currently 'on the bubble'
ABC
The Whole Truth (with the cancellation of My Generation, this is currently the lowest rated show on the net)p
Detroit 1-8-7 (possible replacement ready by midseason)
Better With You (below average)
NBC
Undercovers (very low ratings in the 1 point range)
Chase (ratings only marginally higher than Undercovers)
Chuck (this is like the Star Trek of its era, a show with miserable ratings perpetuated by its network's goodwill and its rabid fanbase.)
CBS
Medium (ratings are crap)
The Defenders (possible midseason pull)
FOX
Running Wilde (cancellation imminent)
The Good Guys (cancellation imminent)
Fringe (on the bubble, as usual)
Lie to Me (on the bubble, as usual)
CW
Life Unexpected (cancellation imminent)
I'm sure ABC had no trouble bumping The Whole Truth last night in order to show a news special on the Chilean mine rescue.
I'm glad to see Raising Hope's doing well, that's the only new show besides No Ordinary Family that I've gotten into.

Spoiler:
#4 - The Whole Truth
Detroit 1-8-7 isn't going anywhere. Disney picked up the back 9 yesterday, so it will have a full 22 episodes this season. CBS has also said The Defenders will be picked up, so it's not going any where. Fringe already had the full years worth of episodes picked up, so it's not going anywhere. Medium wins its Friday slot, which is all CBS wants it to do. It's not going anywhere this season.
The Whole Truth hasn't officially been canceled, but ABC has confirmed they won't pick up the back 9, meaning it will only have 13 episodes. Who knows if ABC will actually air all of them or not.

A back 9 is by no means an indicator of a show getting renewed for next season, though...I mean, Chase got a back 9, and its ratings are flat-out terrible. Usually it's just an indicator of a lack of faith a network has in its midseason replacements. NBC's in such bad shape they were considering more episodes of Undercovers.
Chuck's ratings are lousy, but they're right around the average for NBC. And its ratings have held steady, while everything else has been going in a downward direction. It actually got two extra episodes this season (24), so.
The weird part is that The Defenders got a back 9. Everyone had it pegged as getting yanked for Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior in the midseason, since it comes on after Criminal Minds, and it's the lowest-rated show on CBS outside of Friday. Though they may yank Medium and move The Defenders there midseason.
I'd expect The Good Guys to be #5. It's been getting beat by the CW in its timeslot. Most of those bubble shows will make the full season.
Fox is in an interesting position because they need to clear room for X-Factor, Terra Nova, and probably another new show or two, so its bubble shows are in more danger than others at the end of the season. Lie to Me is basically a goner, Fringe is hanging by a thread, and Human Target will have to do well to survive.
That's just an evasive way of saying it's cancelled though. It can go on the list.
Likely, but not a lock. I realize NBC may be in a different place, but last season they announced Trauma was going to end at 13 and then they picked up more. Of course the show isn't here this season so we know how that went. Either way, I doubt there will be The Whole Truth Season Two.

To me a show isn't canceled if they air all the episodes they order. To me a show is only canceled when they halt production while still making episodes. Lone Star and My Generation both had production halted after the first two episodes aired before all the episodes could air because they were flat out canceled. On the other hand Outlaw wasn't renewed, but it wasn't canceled as they got to produce all the episodes ordered and all the episodes will be aired. The Whole Truth basically wasn't canceled either as it got to finish production of all the episodes. It was just removed due to low ratings. I know I'm being technical, but technically a show can't be canceled if they have already finished production of all the episodes originally ordered. They can only not be renewed or pulled due to low performance.

Oh, see, for me cancelled just means they stop making a show, unless that end was determined before the season started airing (like setting the end date for Lost, Smallville, etc.). Basically it ends due to ratings.
The only reason they make all the episodes in a 13-episode order of a low-rated show like The Whole Truth is because of penalties that come with not fulfilling the order. A show has to be doing really, really badly before the cost of the penalty is less than the costs of finishing the 13-episode order.
Really just a matter of semantics here.
The extension of Trauma's season was only to fill holes left when Leno was suddenly cancelled last season...this kind of thing never happens otherwise.
Considering that The Whole Truth's ratings are even worse than Trauma's I'd say it's impossible the show will continue.
Finally, on another note, Medium's season order has been slashed to 13 episodes (from the original 22), so something's taking its spot on Fridays this midseason (probably either Chaos or The Defenders).
ABC gave up on the show. They'll take -- and probably air -- the 13 episodes they ordered but they don't want anything more to do with it after that. It's not coming back midseason, summer, any time.
When a network severs ties with a show, it fits on the list.

You can add Undercovers to the list. It's 13-and-done.
Running Wilde is from Mitchell Hurwitz, right? My god, poor guy can't seem to catch a break ever since Arrested Development. Maybe it's best for him to make the AD movie.
As for Undercovers' cancellation...I wonder what J.J. Abrahms must be thinking now.
The Good Guys ended up making this list and I can't say that I'm happy about it. I'm by no means surprised because FOX barely promoted it at all, but It was a quality show that deserved better.
Raising Hope has been renewed for a second season so it's the first new show this season that officially will not make this list.
The Cape may be soon for this list after its brutal plunge in the ratings on Monday, but Chase is probably your next new NBC show to get the axe. It's already had its 22-episode order reduced to 18, which is always a death knell.
