A New "Grease" Starring Bieber and Miley?

    Like This Thread!
Apparently, this story's been popular around the Internets all because of Bieber's biopic deal with Paramount. A new version of Grease is something I don't want. Could his words be nothing more but pure fantasy or could they lead into an alternate reality where every musical that received a movie adaptation in the '70's-'80's updated for today's youth.

Justin Bieber represents everything that is wrong with music today (same with Miley). If this is true then I have lost my faith in film, music, and all of humanity.

(Although it is most likely not going to happen in the first place. I may be wrong though.)

Forgot to mention that Bieber also wants Susan Boyle in the movie. She's still getting over the stress that was applied to her when she broke out in the music industry. This would be a bit too much.

I love how Hollywood is under the assumption that Justin Bieber can act, even though he's never done any actual acting (besides a couple of random guest appearances) in his entire life.

First we get that whole CSI multi-episode plot arc with him, and now, potentially, this as well. Unbelievable.

If this is true, the horror! This has got to be the worst rumor ever, hopefully that's all it is. I'd like to think those people who work in the movies would have more sense than this

They know he can't act, but since he's the new sensation of this year they want to suck his fame until there's nothing but dust which i believe will happen when those hormones kicks in and that won't be pretty lol.

    That’s hilarious.
He’d have to grease his hair back, and then no one would be able to pick him out on screen.

I never saw it, but didn’t they just remake Grease as a little thing called High School Musical?

In what kind of high school would he be considered a tough guy/gang member/greaser?
    A Muppet high school?
Nope. No way. I don’t want to see the Muppets dragged into this.

Not happening. and I'm the "Grease wasn't that great of a movie to begin with, aside from a few catchy songs." camp.

    Quiete the drama queen.

I don't see this as a problem. Bieber can sing so why not star in a musical?

Bieber starring in a musical I have no problem with.

Bieber starring in The musical to end all musicals represents the blatant stupidity and greed of the studio execs.

I want Bieber and Cyrus nowhere NEAR Travolta's legacy. I wouldn't even want them to star in a remake of Look Who's Talking.

If this remake does happen and it's terrible it's not gonna make the first Grease worser of a movie.

    Justin Bieber Denies Grease Rumor

I don't know. He gets a lot of bandwagon hatred for someone who hasn't really done anything and isn't aimed at adults. People like to complain.

He can sing, but he needs to sit down and go through puberty for a year. He can barely hit notes from his first album.

and there you go. Grease was popular before John Travolta. Not a big deal.

If tainting the legacy actually meant anything, people would still be talking about Grease 2.

Zac Efron is good-looking, has acting talent, and can dance. I don't see the comparison.

It worked with Taylor Swift, at least.

I was gonna bring up Grease 2, but Eleanor beat me to it. Considering how lame that movie was, it will be impossible for a new Grease to be worse.

At least Grease 2 had the hotness that is Michelle Pfeifer. That already puts it above this remake in my book for the time being.

    Hehe... yeah, I suppose.

I guess his casting only makes sense at this point, considering the talent pool for big names that haven't been on CSI yet is being stretched pretty thin. That show lives and dies by its guest stars.

Oh... please, no. My school is doing Grease next year coincidentally (I won't be able to do it seeing as I'm done with high school) but wow... this rumor does not sound too good. Grease seems a tad untouchable for a remake.

Haven't seen Singin' In The Rain, have you?
If you said that at my school, you'd be under flames. Little Shop of Horrors is the greatest musical ever in the eyes of my peers, though Grease is a close second. But I do agree Singin' in the Rain is the greatest movie musical.
For a long time it gave me nightmares... witnessing an injustice like that... it's a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be... I can still hear them taunting him... silly rabbit, Trix are for kids... I mean, WHY COULDN'T THEY JUST GIVE HIM SOME CEREAL?
