(Yeah, cause when I think fairy, I think romantic comedy all the time. That's why I read Artemis Fowl. You know, for the romantic comedy)
No live action Gargoyles for you. No, you'll take this romantic comedy about Tinkerbell starring Elizabeth Banks and you'll like it, young man/lady.

Tinkerbell is getting ready to take flight at Disney in "Tink," a live-action romantic comedy that has Elizabeth Banks attached to star and Adam Shankman, Jennifer Gibgot and McG guiding the pic's flightplan to the bigscreen as producers.
Concept for the project, for which the deals are being wrapped up, plays with the mischievous nature of the Tinkerbell character. It was developed by Banks with Max Handelman, who co-runs the thesp's production shingle, Brownstone Prods., and Matt Smith of Offspring Entertainment. Offspring, the shingle run by Shankman and Gibgot, is based on the Disney lot. McG and Mary Viola will produce through their Wonderland Entertainment banner.
Elizabeth Wright Shapiro, who helped develop the project, along with McG, will write the script.
Credit Smith for getting so many filmmakers aflutter over "Tink."
The development exec initially worked with Banks and Handelman on the project while at Wonderland and continued to champion the pic after moving to Offspring.
Shapiro and Banks have collaborated on projects in the past. They include "Keiko," to which Banks is attached to direct. Shapiro will write and star in the pic. Scribe is also set to guest star in FX's "The League" and appear in Ruben Fleischer's "30 Minutes or Less." Ted Hope and Anne Carrey's This Is That will produce "Keiko."
Scribe also penned "Allies With Benefits," which Scott Free is set to produce.
Project is the latest from Banks' shingle to land a home at a studio.
Banks' Brownstone shingle most recently produced Disney's sci-fi thriller "The Surrogates," with Mandeville Films. It also has "Forever 21" at DreamWorks and "Pitch Perfect," at Universal.
Banks stars in Paul Haggis' "The Next Three Days," opposite Russell Crowe, and "The Details," with Tobey Maguire. She is filming the comedy "My Idiot Brother" and will continue to guest on NBC's "30 Rock."
She is repped by UTA and Untitled Entertainment.
"Tink" becomes the second high-profile pic Offspring has set up in days, following a workplace laffer starring Zac Efron that it will produce at Warner Bros. and Efron's production shingle, Ninjas Runnin' Wild. It has "Step Up 3D" and "Going the Distance" bowing from Disney and New Line in August.
Now go clean your room!

TOM's final words of Toonami. The proof of what Toonami was aimed for and was meant for. Stay Gold. You will always be first and simply the best.
This will be one of the biggest moneymaking hits of whatever year it comes out in. You know it, I know it, and the Lord knows it. Don't try to kid yourselves about why it's getting made.
So, what are they doing? It doesn't sound like it's going to be a regular Tinkerbell story, along the lines of the DTV movies. So is this some kind of "Tink reinvented as a contemporary woman in the big city" kind of deal? Because that just has disaster written all of it. (As if Banks starring wasn't enough to ensure that.)
Somewhere in the Gargoyles universe, David Xanatos has just sent the Steel Clan to Walt Disney Studios to put a hit out on McG for ruining Tinkerbell's good name with that horrible live-action flick.
Meanwhile in Pixie Hollow, Tinkerbell returns the favor by traveling to New York to speak to the Manhattan Clan's leader, Goliath, to see if the Fairies and Gargoyles can get Walt Disney Studios to reconsider not making the Gargoyles movie, and get it made for the fans!
And somewhere, Walt Disney and Greg Weisman are smiling.
In the animated music industry, there are two completely different but important girl groups: The Holograms, who are just Truly Outrageous, and the Misfits, who think their music is better. These are their stories.
Law and Order: Starlight Music. (dong-dong)
Just do a live action Peter Pan film instead of this, oh wait they did that.
Oh, I'm thinking it will do well with the kiddies since they love this kind of thing.

This is the talkback thread for Disney Making Live-Action Tinkerbell Film.
Oh! There's a big surprise! That's incredible. I think I'm gonna have a heart attack and die from that surprise!
I started a thread on this yesterday. It might be best to merge them to avoid having two that are about the same thing.

The only reason I would actually want to see this is because I love Tinkerbell's outfit and if they cast the right girl/woman to play the role it could make a great substitute for Viagra, if you know what I mean (not that I use Viagra). Seriously though, I can't see this movie being any good, it will probably end up either being really cheesy and meant for young kids, or it will turn out to be a Tween flick that attracts 10-13 year old girls to the theater.
But again, I could see myself catching this on HBO someday depending upon who is cast to play Tinkerbell.![]()
