I'm suprised nobody has talked about this show on here yet. As we all know NBC is desperate right now for any type of hit and they are testing this show out to see if they have their version of american idol( at least ratings wise).

From what I've seen so far it seems that NBC is promoting this show as an anti american idol. They've made hints that this wasn't a show based on glitz or image, but on actual singing ability and nothing more. I've seen a couple episodes so far and I'm liking what I see. It's a breath of fresh air in contrast to the image-obsessed american idol which in my opinon lost all credibility as a legitimate singing competion show long ago. I hope this show does well for NBC.
