New Battlestar Galactica series coming to FOX!

    Like This Thread!
Fox has ordered a pilot episode of this revived franchise for the 2002-2003 season. The show will be directed by Bryan Singer, who directed the X Men. Waaaaayyyyy cool.

I've heard about this project a few times before an am looking forward to it.

But the Fox news I'm not to sure about. They don't have the greatest history when it comes to scifi and they also tend to cancel new shows (at least the ones I actually like) before they've been given a fair chance.

    Old Stars

Yeah, this project has gained some serious momentum recently. However, there is a lack of confidence from the 'suits' over the reprisal of the old actors - despite Mr Singer's interest in the return of Hatch and Benedict. Benedict in particular is asking for fan support in bringing back Starbuck and Apollo.

More information on how to help these aging actors reprise there role:

There is a link there to Dirk Benedict's site (including his new cruise scheme!!!)

I'd love to see Starbuck and Apollo on the new series. Old meets new kinda thing, handing off the torch to the next generation.

One series I do wish they would renew with a "next generation" cast is Space 1999.

Like with Galactica a 'next generation cast' would be a natural pregression - neither series said their journey through space would be short (if memory serves, it is implied in the unshot final episode of Space: 1999 where they deal with the problems of future Alphans..)

    Cool is all I'd say....

Keep the series 1 music to 1999 - that was excellent!! (Same goes for Galactica!!)
