mallrats was my fav. then dogma
The high point of this movie for me was the Golgotha feces monster. I laughed so hard I nearly made a monster of my own in my pants.
Dogma is basically Smith's cynical skewering of the Catholic teachings. High time, too. I used to date a Catholic girl, and believe me, they are nuts...if Smith hadn't done this project first I probably would've myself.![]()
the prophets are te coolest![]()
Once again: I dated a Catholic girl who was 100% emotionally and sexually centered and healthy, and she'd probably track you down and cave in the side of your head with a Louisville Slugger for repeating unfounded stereotypes.
And you do realize that Smith is proud to be a Catholic as well, right?
Robert Evatt
You read it... you can't un-read it!
I think the Jay and Silent Bob movie comes out and the end of August. I'm looking forward to that. It's called Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, they visit people from Clerks, Mallrats, etc.
should be great
I heard Smith is also working on a full length Animated Clerks movie, I like the Clerks cartoon more than any other of his work (Hence my avatar).
Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back is pretty sweet, movie should be great.

have you seen the clerks uncensored cartoon i heard it awesome
Chasing Amy, I thought, was just the best of any of the Smith films. Clerks was great, Mallrats was great (but a bit too juvenile), Dogma was cool, but Chasing Amy was just perfect. I thought it was his best film, and I think it'll remain that way even after J&SBSB comes out in August. Lee and Affleck were 100% perfect in this movie. Both on their game entirely.

I totally agree, DG. You've summed up exactly how I feel about all the movies! Man, that's creepy.Originally posted by DickGrayson

i thought that was the worst one because the lack of jay and silent bob not counting their 5 minutes
As much as I like Jay and Bob, this film was better becuase a lack of them. This was likely Smith's 'serious' film, and it worked good with a minimal appearance by the duo. They are funny, but sometimes it can be just overkill and repetitive with those two. Besides the face on Banky's face when he finds out what kind of club he's in is 100% priceless and hilarious. For me, I like them in order Chasing Amy, Clerks, Mallrats, Dogma.

If you don't know, in one of the episodes Jay & Silent Bob buy a monkey and teach it to smoke. I captured my avatar off of one of the DVD-ROM's menus.

It's a great DVD set and I really recommend it. It's fairly new, so you should be able to find it for a good price.

i dont have a dvd and yal are always talkin about it and it sucks
Trust me. I predict in a years time, just about everyone will have a DVD player. They overook VHS salesa a few months back, which have since flat lined and are beginning to fall. And while it sux to currently have no DVD player at the current time, I bet you'll have one soon enough.
