    NBA Draft

    Like This Thread!
So what did everyone think of the NBA Draft pics. I'm a bit suprised how young some of the new rookies are! Straight outta high school. I also thought it was funny how the Lakers didn't even bother to do any picking.

I watched the first 11 picks. Amazing how many High schoolers are making the jump to the NBA. I still can't come to grips with the fact that Jason Kidd is not on the Sun's anymore.

From top to bottom, the Lakers already have the best assortment of players in the NBA. I don't like them, but it's hard to deny it. EVERYONE on that team is good. There isn't a weak link in there.

    bzzzzzzzzzzzt
the Lakers have weaknesses, namely bench strength

Shaq is not the most driven, which is why he's been reporting to camp in poor condition the last few summers. Kobe is getting tired of Shaq's aloofness, which is why he declared he will be opting out next summer.

Rick Fox is injured and Robert Horry/Will Smith is past his prime.
And their bench is...ahem, cue Bill Walton impersonation: HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRIBLE!!!!!!!!

will the Lakers improve? maybe...but owner Dr. Jerry Buss needs to open his wallet and quit being cheap like Clippers owner Donald Sterling. He refuses to pay the luxury tax. So if he decides to stay below the salary cap, then the Lakers are setting themselves up for mediocrity. But the only one who'd care is Mad Jack. LA isn't aware they don't have the NFL, nor do they care for the Dodgers these days.

Just to spite LA, Kobe should sign w/ the Trailblazers. He'd clean up that mess and attract real ballers instead of thugs, rapists, and stoners. And he'd get paid too, seeing how Portland usually ranks high in team payroll. Microsoft money, they spit at the luxury tax

Larry might agree with you now, since his comments were made quite a while ago.

I'm a fan of doing a searches before starting a new topic, but there comes a time when it's better to start a new topic and this is one of them. As much as I would love to celebrate this thread's 2-year anniversary tomorrow we're just going to close it instead.
