Will the Zack Attack get back on track, when he gets his second crack? Or will Captain Charisma Christian Cage's championship commandeering continue?
Last week Christian overcame the challenge of Zack Ryder and then William Regal declared himself the number one contender before the ECW Champion attacked him, sending him from the ring. On Superstars, Christian hit the ring with Tommy Dreamer and Yoshi Tatsu to save Goldust from Regal, Vladimir Kozlov and Ezekiel Jackson. Tonight, Christian faces Ryder again.

ZACK ATTACKS!
On last week's ECW on Syfy, Christian defended his ECW Title in a hard-fought match against the aggressive Zack Ryder. But will Captain Charisma come out on top tonight when he once again faces the brash young Superstar?

I have $10 on Christian winning, but Regal and his henchmen could rear their ugly heads and cause Christian the match, either way tonight's match should be interesting.
Nope the victory goes to the massively rising Yoshi Tatsu. If this guy gets anymore over the roof's gonna explode.
Burchill vs Benjamin was terrible. This is what should have been done, Regal changes the match to Hurricane and shelton benjamin vs sheamus and paul burchill, or Burchill immediately hit his finisher (what is his finisher by the way because I don't think its that stomp on the back of the head) instead of working on benjamin's arm.
8 man tag match was good and I liked it. And some rivialries should start from here like Goldust and Yoshi Tastu vs Ezekiel and Kozlov, Tommy Dreamer vs William Regal or Zack Ryder, and Chrisitan vs William Regal vs Zack Ryder.
Yeah this guy has some important victories over people such as Regal, and Benjamin.

Ok, the opening threw me for a loop. I hadn't seen anything about Taryn Terrell (Tiffany) being in a legit accident, so this was probably a storyline cover for something else. Regal has been more of a fair GM/Commissioner in the past, but in this case he was looking for an easy way to get back into the title hunt. The Board of Directors, though, had other ideas, hence the 8-man main.
And that match was nearly the best on the show. It was a star-maker for Yoshi Tatsu, as if he wasn't insanely over already. The lead camera missed the finish, but luckily there was a replay. Regal should know all about those buzzkicks. He once held the World tag titles with Tajiri.
I thought for sure the Ruthless Roundtable might plot to abandon Zack Ryder, but that didn't happen. Slow building storyline, methinks, built around the aging Regal being jealous that the younger, charismatic, athletic Ryder has zoomed past him to become a top challenger. This is the sort of storyline they should try on Raw.
The Abraham Washington Show, again, was an epic fail. Not even John Morrison or Dolph Ziggler could save it. Tony Atlas can't even pronounce "Washington" correctly. I have this feeling that eventually, when they want to do more crossovers, say, around Survivor Series, Washington might be introduced to DX. Enough said.
Burchill-Benjamin was the best match of the two (Just 2? WTF?), and it told a better story. Sheamus gets his cameo in, ambushing Shel, but it goes for naught. No Hurricane tonight, either. Whassupwitdat?![]()

They've already announced that the Raw team will return to Albany the night after Christmas. I'll pass again, but this time it's because Saturday (12/26) is a bowling night.
As a proud riding member of the Yoshi Tatsu Bullet Train Bandwagon, I was overjoyed seeing him pick up the big win last night.
I hope this leads to him being a title contender.
Apparently Tiffany posted on her Twitter page that she broke her arm in FCW, but the post was later taken down. Assuming this is legit, putting Regal in charge on an interim basis was a good turn in the story even though ECW has managed for weeks without its GM appearing on TV and matches somehow got made when they didn't even have one too.
I'm not even sure why, but I'm kinda enjoying The Abraham Washington Show now. Maybe Tony Atlas just makes the parody for me, but I think it's much better now that it was when it first started. I liked them bringing in Morrison (and Ziggler) to mix things up a bit. The Rocky IV exchange was kind of funny.
I liked both how the Board of Directors wouldn't allow Regal to just do whatever he wanted and how Ryder was upset his one-on-one match was taken away. Good backstage exchange.
I was surprised after Sheamus assaulted him that Shelton Benjamin actually competing against Paul Burchill was even a consideration, but he wanted to go. He pulled the win out of nowhere, I suppose that must be The Hurricane's fault.
Christian's rallying of the troops before the 8-man tag I wanted to see after Superstars was pretty cool. It was neat having all those Superstars in one match and it was pleasantly surprising to see Yoshi get the pin on Regal after Christian took out pretty much everyone else. Good main event.

Then I was right about the "accident" being a storyline cover. Meltzer reported the injury on his site yesterday. Shouldn't be a problem with her returning with the injured wing in a sling in about a week or two.
You may be in the minority there, Pens. Washington doesn't have it, especially when he's repeatedly getting pwned by every guest he's had. I'm sorry, but the joke ran thin long before Atlas was added, and as I noted, Tony can't even pronounce "Washington" right!Originally Posted by The Penguin
1. That the Board blocked Regal from stacking the deck is a plot device long overdue. If only they'd done something like that when Vicki Guerrero was stinking up Raw & Smackdown.....!Originally Posted by The Penguin
2. I think they're finally establishing Benjamin as a face, which is also long overdue.
3. As I noted, it was a star-maker for Yoshi, who'd already traded singles wins with Regal. Expect Yoshi to move over to Smackdown or Raw in the spring draft.
I think that would be a bad idea. Just look at the stars such as Jack Swagger, Evan Bourne, and Tyson Kidd. they were on ECW picked up some big wins on ECW and they were traded to Raw/Smackdown and now look at them. None of them have done anything big. So it would probably be best for Tyler Reks, Sheamus and Yoshi Tatsu to stay in ECW for a while till they build up there character throughly and used in Raw/SD! correctly.

To be fair, Tyler Reks isn't even doing anything on ECW. He seems like the new Ricky Ortiz in the short run.
I really liked how they had Sheamus beat down on Shelton and then had Shelton try to recuperate before his match with Burchill so that the fans could see Shelton suffering yet still wanting to fight. You could actually see Shelton winning the fans over there. This sort of creative angle does way more than Shelton firing off lame one-liners.
Abe Washington Show was awful as usual. I don't know why Morrison and Ziggler were on ECW. I get that the celebration taping was this week, but, kayfabe, it's not really advertised that ECW and Smackdown tape together, so it just came off as weird to me.
I too liked the Christian pep talk a lot, as well as the Ryder/Regal backstage moment. And the 8-man was good.
However, I actually wish Regal did abuse his power and use the storyline reason to give him another rematch that Tiffany deemed he didn't warrant. It would have been an easy excuse to book Christian/Regal again.
