    Like This Thread!
It's a new event for WWE, make your first predictions for Breaking Point now! Picks must be made by Sunday at 8 p.m. ET and they cannot be edited after that time.

Breaking Point has six scheduled matches, so everyone's total will be out of six. If you refuse to pick on principle, Kippy has no clue who you want, or you just plain miss it, you will get it wrong.

The Morrison-Ziggler match has been quietly removed from the Breaking Point card and will not be predicted.

WWE Championship - "I Quit" Match
Champion Randy Orton vs. John Cena

World Heavyweight Championship - Submission Match
Champion CM Punk vs. The Undertaker

    ECW Championship
Champion Christian vs. William Regal with Vladimir Kozlov & Ezekiel Jackson

    Submissions Count Anywhere Match

    Unified Tag Team Championship

Chris Jericho & Big Show vs. Montel Vontavious Porter & Mark Henry

Please remember this thread encompasses anything to do with predictions. Should you feel the need to tally up your score, "challenge" people, or tell the story of the "match for the championship" that is going to fit in here, not the talkback thread for the event which will of course be posted Sunday.

    Undertaker

With Batista returning on Monday, I sense they plan on having him be the one to dethrone Orton again, so I'm going with Randy Orton.

    DX

    Christian

I really want to say MVP and Mark Henry will win this solely to get Jericho back on SmackDown!, but in all reality I think DX will be the ones to dethrone Jericho and Show, so Jericho and Show retain.

Khali won the first round. Kane evens it up here.

WWE Championship - "I Quit" Match
Champion Randy Orton vs. John Cena
    (yawn)

World Heavyweight Championship - Submission Match
Champion CM Punk vs. The Undertaker
(too soon for the big guy to win)

    ECW Championship
Champion Christian vs. William Regal with Vladimir Kozlov & Ezekiel Jackson

(I know Christian will probably win, but realistically, this is Regal's to lose)

    Submissions Count Anywhere Match
Shawn Michaels & Triple H vs. Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase

    (I'm calling for the upset)

    Unified Tag Team Championship
    Champions
Chris Jericho & Big Show vs. Montel Vontavious Porter & Mark Henry
(Just don't see MVP and Henry with a title in this company)

    Singapore Cane Match
The Great Khali with Ranjin Singh vs. Kane

(I could say it because it's Kane's match)

WWE Championship - "I Quit" Match
Champion Randy Orton vs. John Cena

Urk. Like many people said here, Cena just can't say "I quit". I also know that Batista might come back on monday...I'll pick Orton, I guess.

World Heavyweight Championship - Submission Match
Champion CM Punk vs. The Undertaker

Punk. Hell In A Cell will be the true part of this feud, this is just filler.

    ECW Championship
Champion Christian vs. William Regal with Vladimir Kozlov & Ezekiel Jackson

This better not be another squash. Christian will still retain the title, though.

    Submissions Count Anywhere Match
Shawn Michaels & Triple H vs. Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase

I'll go with DX, even if it's a bit easy.

    Unified Tag Team Championship
Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show vs. Montel Vontavious Porter & Mark Henry

JeriShow. It's still early for them to lose it.

    Singapore Cane Match
The Great Khali with Ranjin Singh vs. Kane

Kane will tie this feud up.

World title: CM Punk over Undertaker. Too early to move the title yet again. I know Taker was promised a lengthy title run a while back, but injuries prevented that from happening. However, in order to establish Punk once and for all as a top player, he has to go over.

Khali over Kane. I think you guys are forgetting that Kane won last time, and that the feud these two had a while back when Khali first came to WWE isn't part of the equation. 50/50 booking at work here, as Khali evens the score.

Tag titles: "Jeri-Show" over Henry/Porter. Again, too early for a title change.

WWE title: Cena over Orton. Batista returning on Monday isn't a factor in the decision making here. Orton, remember, had the "last word" on Monday, and I seem to recall that he pulled a similar stunt (RKO on a chair) some time back, leading to a PPV loss. History repeats.

DX over Legacy. I can't see Brett DiBiase interfering in back-to-back PPV's unless they want to make it too obvious that he's Legacy-bound. FWIW, I think Hunter & Shawn will trade submission finishers this time, since HHH has an Indian Deathlock he hasn't used in forever (dating back to his WCW days as Terra Ryzing), and HBK is a little more proficient with the Sharpshooter, though him using the figure 4 again would make more sense.

ECW title: Christian over William Regal. Let me say it one more time. Too early for a title change.

With the new announcement of Kingston-Miz for the U.S. Title (now why the heck was Morrison-Ziggler removed if they added another match?!) I just want to remind everyone that we need to go with the card as it was available on Friday after SmackDown. That match will not be predicted and no points will be awarded for it.

I really don't get this decision. At least Morrison vs Ziggler had a week's build. This match just comes out of nowhere. So they had Swagger, Carlito and Miz all claim to be the next champions, and then they had a fatal four-way really early that killed that plotline. And now just The Miz is getting a shot, and it's not even announced on RAW? Why? This does make me wonder if it's finally The Miz's time, though. It's just a shame that, if they would have built it better, it might have meant more.

WWE Championship - "I Quit" Match
Champion Randy Orton vs. John Cena

John Cena. I just can't see him saying "I quit" after he guaranteed victory and then was left laying so definitively at the end of the last RAW before the PPV. Not to mention his whole gimmick is fighting and never backing down. I just can't see him saying "I quit."

World Heavyweight Championship - Submission Match
Champion CM Punk vs. The Undertaker

I'm going to go with the dark horse here, the choice of a new generation, the first-ever straight-edge world heavyweight champion in history, CM Punk. I honestly don't see Taker tapping out either, but I think Hobbes' idea of the match ending due to Taker being knocked out would work. It would really suck if Punk got the title taken off him yet again so quick.

    ECW Championship
Champion Christian vs. William Regal with Vladimir Kozlov & Ezekiel Jackson

Christian overcomes the odds and keeps his title.

    Submissions Count Anywhere Match
Shawn Michaels & Triple H vs. Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase

DX win in yet another close encounter.

    Unified Tag Team Championship
    Champions
Chris Jericho & Big Show vs. Montel Vontavious Porter & Mark Henry

I honestly think this is just a one-off to keep Jericho/Show busy for when they feud with DX. The result that would most surprise me about this PPV (outside of Cena saying "I quit") would be MVP and Mark Henry becoming tag champs.

    Singapore Cane Match
The Great Khali with Ranjin Singh vs. Kane

Why is this on the card? I honestly don't even care. Uh Khali I guess.

YOUR BROTHER IS A HUMAN BEING. YOU'RE NOTHING BUT A SCUMBAG. THAT'S WHAT YOU ARE; YOU'RE A DOG. YOUR NAME IS POFFO." - Ronnie Garvin to Randy Savage, ICW Wrestling, 1980.

If by that you mean you don't see them having a title period MVP has been the United States Champion twice, in fact his first reign lasted from May of 07 till April of last year and Mark Henry had the ECW Championship for most of the summer last year although I'm sure some people would like to forget that

Cena wins for a quickie title reign. I know he isn't doing house shows right now, but there's no way he can say "I quit." I just can't see it.
CM Punk wins and retains by some miracle. Taker doesn't work house shows so he won't win the title, but I have no idea how they'll make him tap. But they're setting up for a big HIAC match next month here obviously.
Christian wins and retains. May start to shift feud to him facing Ezekiel and Kozlov soon. We should actually get a match this time, at least I hope so.
DX wins. Again can't see Trips or Shawn tapping.
Jeri-Show wins. This is filler just to continue Jeri-Shows rampage, eventually leading to what I guess will be a DX showdown. Let's face it, MVP and Mark Henry aren't a real tag team.
Khali wins. Because Kane won the last one and that will hopefully put this one behind us.

They lost their nerve with Morrison/Ziggler I guess. They don't trust Morrison in front of a live crowd, because he's not very over at all - a lot of the noise is piped in for him on Smackdown. Having a big match with a crowd not behind him would put a damper on the big push they're currently giving him.

Obviously a last-minute decision and Kingston-Miz was the closest thing to a comparable match they could whip out I guess. I think it will be a short one that Kofi will win to get that feud going in earnest.
