What this world needs is for Tim Curry to have a long string of roles where he's freakin' Gandalf. As in, unambiguously good, no evil motives or plots attached.

Nowadays, having Tim Curry in any role is like a signpost saying "This character is EVIL!!!", written in neon letters doused with kerosene and lit on fire. A cast list with his name on it is as good as a detailed, spoiler-filled synopsis telling you precisely where the writers' clever little twist is. But if he had a rep of good guy roles, then we wouldn't know what to think anymore. :3

...Okay, I thought this all up after thinking about Scooby-Doo and the Witch's Ghost and how the big plot twist was painfully visible to anyone who noticed just who was doing the voice of That Guy Who Looked Like Xanatos (and apologies if my memories of the movie are a little fuzzy). >_>

The Wild Thornberrys: The father Nigel Thornberry.

I get the impression Tim Curry likes playing the Large Evil Ham too much to want to do a string of roles where he's the good guy. Besides, he makes a really good, fun bad guy.
