*There was a quote here, not sure where it went*
Eh, my assuption is that RPM takes place quite a bit after SPD (I remember reading in some material that said RPM takes place in the 2080's, whereas SPD takes place in the 2020's), and the RPM rangers eventually pave the way for Time Force.

It's a bit confusing, I know, but I seem to recall the future city Time Force came from looking a bit like Corinth.

Beside 'Once a Ranger' firmly establishes that MMPR-DT are in the same continuity as the rest of the New-Zealand seasons.

Need I remind you the extra team was Adam, Kira, Tori, Zander and Bridge??

DinoThunder makes it pretty clear that its in the same continuity considering they have Dr. Tommy Oliver and he has a historical record of every PR generation up until then. They also clearly tie into SPD considering they have Kira and Ethan see the SD future briefly. Operation Overdrive makes it pretty clear SPD is in the same continuity as well considering they have Adam, Alpha, and one of the SPD Rangers make up a temporary team.

    I beg to differ.
He created the Tyrannodrones, you don't go around creating things like that unless you want an army that will not question you.
He created Fossilador is a mind controlling dinosaur skeleton, you don't create those unless you want to take over the political leaders and have them at your mercy or the general populace.

The entirety of Dino Thunder was Tommy fighting his own evil creations that turned on him.

All that did was establish that the reality Operation Overdrive existed in that those past Rangers (well the SPD one being a future Ranger) also existed in that reality, it did not establish that MMPR-WF existed in the same reality as NS-OO

His so called historical record has many glaring errors & omisssions. I can name everyone I noticed.

Sword of Darkness called Power Sword, in proper Power Ranger history the Power Sword belong to the Red Ranger as his personal weapon.

Sword of Darkness was destroyed by Tommy with the other’s help, in proper PR history the Sword of Darkness was fueling the evil in Tommy and it was not destroyed by Tommy at all but by Jason or the entire team.

At point he says the Green Ranger Power was only temporary, in proper PR history they were stolen and not a temporary power

No mention of Katherine being under an evil spell
No mention of Vile or him turning back time

No mention of the Alien Rangers having come to Earth to save the Earth

No mention of the Zeo Crystal Quest
    No mention of Trey
No mention of Phantom Ranger and Blue Senturian
He saiud the loss of the Command Center destruction means loss of Turbo powers, in proper PR history the invasion of Eltar disconnected the link between the Turbo Powers power source and the Turbo Ranger's morpher.
No mention of any Battlizers other than Leo’s
    No mention of Scorpious
No mention of Magna Defender nor Mike who were essential in Terra Venture's escape from the Lost Galaxy.

No mention of Karone replacing the first Ranger to ever die, nor that dead Ranger’s resurrection

No mention of Ryan being evil at first
No mention of Alex, nor his death and resurrection
No mention of Merrick being the evil Zen-Aku first
No mention of Forever Red, Haley or the other DT Rangers said the video diary was about Tommy's life as a Power Ranger yet it neglects to mention the biggest battle he was ever in.
He specifically states that he had no Ranger powers at the time in direct contradiction to Forever Red which proved he could still morph into Zeo Red Ranger.

When the people of the present see the future that is no gurantee that will happen. It is only one possible future.

Then what about Adam and that one villain being the son of Rita and Zedd?

Yeah. Although it was a nod to franchise history and older fans, ultimately it has to make sense to the little kids who just started with Dino Thunder. There's no time or reason to go into the subtle nuances of multi season plot lines that don't really matter past nostalgia.

Junkion, you do realize that "Legacy Of Power," which contained the historical record, was a 22-minute episode (give or take) of a series that only had 38 episodes to tell its story? And, using the 4th episode ("Legacy Of Power") to tell a glorified clip show to commemorate the 500th episode of Power Rangers proper and a bridge between the last episode's plot and the next episode? There will be omissions when you are playing "Beat The Clock" and trying to tell the current story along with telling an abridged history of PR.

I believe that everything is tied together. While I wanted to consider RPM as Alternate Universe, too much information (especially the world of Time Force) points to RPM as the bridge between SPD and Time Force. Granted, the aliens are gone. They probably realized what's going on and got out of Dodge before Venjix took full control.

Besides, once Judd Lynn hits, continuity will be whatever the hell he wants it to be.

And, no, I don't want to hear any "Oh, but Eddie was gonna do this...*whine whine*" We don't know that so it's not canon. It's the same as the Venjix theory. There's no proof of that in canon and (as much as that would be so awesome if it were true) we have to deal.

Also, I think RPM is set inbetween SPD and TF but we don't know that for sure. Let's keep our ears out!

(Wait, why am I over-analyzing a kids tokusatsu show? All the Sentai/Kamen Rider is getting to me. *rubs head*)

Well as Undrave already stated, the seasons filmed in New Zealand do exist in the same universe as the seasons from MMPR to Wild Force. PRDT's "Legacy of Power" and PROO's "Once a Ranger" two-parter are solid proof of it. As for Jungle Fury, I'd like to think that the mere mention of a morphin grid put it in continuity with the preceding seasons as well.

On the other hand, with future timelines like they are, there's no guarantee.
He said that would happen in another 20 years. Now that I think about it, it's really too bad there wasn't a Mystic Force/S.P.D. teamup. That would have been a great opportunity to confrim that Briarwood does indeed become New Tech City later on.

It would be easier to just disregard Forever Red. It was a rather lame episode, epic teamups not withstanding.

When we last left our heroes...
The addition of Happy Peppy Gary and Happy Peppy Betty (aka Gem and Gemma) has made Doctor K warm up to about everyone and call them their real names. All except for Ziggy, who she still refers to as "Ranger Series Green." Poor Ziggy; never able to get a break. Oh yeah, and Venjix almost stole all the air out of Corinth. If Scott hadn't followed the new Rangers and went pro-active, Corinth would have been up a creek without a paddle.

This Week (according to the DIRECTV Guide): Gem and Gemma are forced to change plans to destroy a factory where they'd been held when they learn that Dillon's sister may be a prisoner there.

    Episode 17 (RPM)/685 (Overall): Prisoners
    Premiere: July 12, 2009
    Encore: ?????
    2nd Encore: Profit!

Savor this episode up, folks. Because the kickoff to the 2nd half of Power Rangers RPM will be the last episode of Power Rangers for a while. Next week is pre-empted for The Open (because it's too classy to be called the British Open), and the week after has to be used for precious E/I recovery. Meaning no episodes, new or repeat, until August 1 (luckily a new episode) and more, in a Bostonian/Corinthian accent, wicked discussion.

-Well this was a pretty standard episode but it was still 5/5 worthy. Gem/ma, while they may be annoying at times, are seriously growing on me. They were seriously planning on blowing up the base with the people still in it. I mean, what kind of Power Ranger does that? I'll tell you what kind. Deranged, crazy ones not written by Kalish, that's who. Also, they didn't have a lot of lines after the first act so that should calm the dislikers.

    -This week's best Ziggy moment.
"We're gonna need a distraction. (they keep looking at Ziggy) And I think I'm the distraction (They start nodding their heads)." Amazing how said distraction actually worked. I thought it was going to fail horribly.

-Gem/ma are probably the greatest mapmakers ever. Somebody let them make the next atlas. It'll depict North America as a Unicorn!

-I continue to think that the DillonXSummer is just as out there as can be. I can really see those two getting together by the end of the series (That's if Dillon doesn't die hopefully not). And there she goes off to rescue her man. Sorry Ziggy, no bromance for you this episode.
And I seriously think that she did a Rider Kick (on a Kamen Grinder no less)

-Shortest megazord battle ever this week. As well as the third reference of Gold's zord being a chicken. It's completely official now.

I love how absolutely crazy and out of touch Gem and Gemma are with reality, and yet they're still allowed to protect the last city on earth. A duo of trigger happy twins who are so eager to blow things up seems like the exact opposite of what Rangers usually stand for.

I'm also loving how there's actual stuff outside the domed city. It would be extremely boring if Venjix justed wasted the land and let it stay a desert.

Like StormBlue already told you, new episodes will resume on August 1 (and then we'll have a gap of repeats from August 29 until whenever). The prison break, however, looks as though it'll happen on August 15.
