I ruthlessly trash this show when it doesn't deliver and has really bad matches like Chavo/Hornswaggle or R-Truth/Ricky Ortiz so I'll give it some props tonight. This was the best Superstars since the revival with three really solid matches, especially Morrison vs Kane which was stellar. And I thought the DQ was well-executed. I was fearful that Kane would pick up yet another win (it would have been his fourth in a row since returning) but I'm glad Morrison didn't lose because he's got a lot of momentum at the moment.

Plus the DQ spot was great. It was like Morrison was going to try this really foolish high-risk thing to the floor which Kane looked up and was scared to death of so he threw up a chair in desperation.

You're ashamed of going around calling yourself Poffo so you probably got the name Savage because you're ashamed of putting yourself on the same level as your brother because he is much better than you are. YOUR BROTHER IS A HUMAN BEING. YOU'RE NOTHING BUT A SCUMBAG. THAT'S WHAT YOU ARE; YOU'RE A DOG. YOUR NAME IS POFFO." - Ronnie Garvin to Randy Savage, ICW Wrestling, 1980.

I was filled with fright at the prospect of Kane picking up another victory. He would have added the rising John Morrison to his profile of defeats since returning, which include No. 1 contender Jeff Hardy and Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio, both of which are in more meaningful, higher-profile feuds than Kane-Khali.

I know ultimately television wins and losses do not matter, but I feel as though Kane could have accomplished the same returning momentum by simply winding his way through the lower midcard faces on Smackdown (the only match he's had that's resembled such was against R-Truth) instead of starting at the top and working his way down, which made no sense.

    But it's an utter non-issue.

Again, Kane shouldn't be a heel.

Did he really get scared? Kane isn't a wimp, he's supposed to be feared by almost everybody. I'm slowly losing respect from the writers from the way they're making him now.

    Ugh.

Khali needed someone his size to play with, and since Big Show and he already squared off and he's now on RAW, Kane was the next best thing. Undertaker couldn't have been used either, since he's the biggest face on Smackdown and Khali gets pretty over himself despite his limitations in mobility. However I have to agree since I don't remeber a single moment when kane coward in fear, screaming like a little girl.

Tidbit: I think Morrison's Flying Chuck hit Kane a little too well, seeing as how he got a bruise below his left eye.

That sunset flip Christian beat Regal with wasn't perfect, but it got the job done and was a great way to kick off this episode. I too was very happy with what we got here this week.

I hate it when guys are billed as "in action" and then they face someone officially on the roster. Is there much doubt that Evan Bourne is going to beat Jamie Noble? No, but you have diminished his prospects even more so when you tease the match without his name even being attached.

I'm always on 'old theme song watch' and the SummerSlam/WGN promo had the theme the Hardy Boyz used when they first changed their look and teamed up with the newly renamed (from Dok Hendrix) Michael Hayes.

I was pretty happy with Morrison-Kane as the main event and thought the finish worked. The thing about Kane (the character) is he relies on fear and intimidation to psych his opponents out. He cracks that evil smile and laughs when he makes his opponents suffer. The Great Khali is bigger than him and is not intimidated by what the Big Red Machine could do to him. That has thrown Kane off his game. That's why he threw the chair at Morrison and why he keeps running away.
