WWE Championship - Steel Cage Match
Champion Randy Orton vs. Batista
As I've said before, this Orton-Batista (also featuring Ric Flair) feud seems to be the middle act of the eventual Triple H return, so I couldn't see Randy Orton losing this match. Who knows what the finish will be, but I hope it's interesting. The Raw main event matches seem to almost need interesting run-ins/angles to help the matches as of late. (I know Edge/Cena and Edge/Jeff had run-ins too but with those, it didn't seem like the matches hinged on the quality of the finish, whereas the last two Rain main events, that has seemed like the case.)
World Heavyweight Championship - Ladder Match
Champion Edge vs. Jeff Hardy
Edge should retain. Extreme Rules should be another PPV in the attempt to make the world title reigns seem significant. I wouldn't be surprised to see Matt Hardy make another appearance here as well, though hopefully it would be about as inconsequental as Matt's run-in was at Judgment Day.
ECW Championship - Triple Threat Hardcore Rules Match
Champion Christian vs. Tommy Dreamer vs. Jack Swagger
I'd say Christian retains, though I could see it going to any of the three. Hopefully Dreamer adds something interesting to Christian vs Swagger, as we've already seen Christian vs Swagger a lot of times.
Submission Match
John Cena vs. Big Show
John Cena overcomes the odds and wins again. The stipulation really sells me on it. Cena actually submitting would be pretty soulcrushing, and I'm picking the two heel world champions to retain at the PPV, so go with a babyface victory here.
Intercontinental Championship - No Holds Barred
Champion Rey Mysterio vs. Chris Jericho
I'm the most in the dark about this match's outcome. I'm hoping, for the sake of having a longer feud, Chris Jericho wins the Intercontinental Championship but fails to take off Rey's mask completely, which could lead to a title vs mask rematch. I don't think having a long IC title reign is as important in the grand scheme of things as the other belts, and I'd rather see this belt make the feud longer. Here's hoping these guys steal the show like they did at Judgment Day.
United States Championship - Fatal Four Way Match
Champion Kofi Kingston vs. Montel Vontavious Porter vs. William Regal vs. Matt Hardy
This is also a puzzler, but I'm willing to think this was added so late because they had room (like Morrison vs Benjamin was at Judgment Day), so I'd doubt we'd see another title change so quickly. Should be a stellar, exciting match if it gets time. I'd think Kofi Kingston would get another huge win here, perhaps pinning Regal this time.
Samoan Strap Match
CM Punk vs. Umaga
Like I said in the Smackdown thread, Punk winning on Friday (and adding another big TV win to his 2009 resume) makes me think Extreme Rules has another Punk loss in the cards. I'm not in favor of it, but Umaga taking Punk around to all four corners would not surprise me.
Hog Pen Match
Santina Marella vs. Vickie Guerrero
Santina Marella in what is hopefully very short. Also Vickie will have the crowd hot no doubt as the fans love to boo her, and her going in the slop should get a big reaction.
"Leaping Lanny and Randy Savage are brothers, and Randy Savage, your name is Randy Poffo. THAT'S RIGHT, RANDY POFFO. You're ashamed of going around calling yourself Poffo so you probably got the name Savage because you're ashamed of putting yourself on the same level as your brother because he is much better than you are. YOUR BROTHER IS A HUMAN BEING. YOU'RE NOTHING BUT A SCUMBAG. THAT'S WHAT YOU ARE; YOU'RE A DOG. YOUR NAME IS POFFO." - Ronnie Garvin to Randy Savage, ICW Wrestling, 1980.
