Holy poop on a stick they did it again!

Who the hell in Creative (I refuse to use the nickname some people think is good, but really is stupid and annoying since they say it so damn much) is deciding to end every big match with outside interference?
Yup. It's a signature. Go away if you're expecting something interesting here.

I'm just really puzzled by this one. How much would it really matter if Christian just defeated Tommy Dreamer straight up? It's not like it would be wasting Dreamer build or anything, considering his win-loss record for the last while.

Anyway, I think Tommy Dreamer is synonymous with "boring," but even I enjoyed the main event to ECW tonight. It's really refreshing that this show (as well as Superstars up to this point) has been a show with longer TV matches that are more fun to watch. They even managed some fake finishes that I went for, even though I went in thinking it'd be a small miracle if Tommy Dreamer walked out with the ECW Championship. (Oh, by the way, from what I heard the hometown crowd was hardly "raucous" for Dreamer.)

But I guess I don't mind it because the interference really made JACK SWAGGA look good and it's building toward their PPV rematch, unlike the Shane run-in which is just building a TV main event.

Tyson Kidd vs Finlay was OK. I actually liked the finish, though it was typical. About time Kidd got a win.

All the Christian/Swagger/Dreamer/Tiffany stuff at the top was alright I guess.

As much as I liked the first Bourne-Burchill match, I don't know if we needed a rematch on Superstars. With this and Carlito vs Ted Dibiase, I think we might be getting our first Heat/Velocity-esque edition of Superstars this Thursday. I would expect it to be this way from here on out.

I was greatly disappointed to see the change to the SD! main event from a five-person scramble match to the fatal four way. While taking out Khali was a good idea, taking out Morrison as well (and replacing him with Kane) was a bad idea. I thought it was great to elevate Morrison to where it looked like he was strong in the running of the World title scene (like they made Kendrick look in that WWE title scramble at Unforgiven). I guess the fear there, though, would be that the other four would pin Morrison (like Triple H and Jeff kept pinning Kendrick) and Morrison would ultimately get hurt. I guess it makes sense but I'm disappointed. Still the fatal-four way should be interesting.

Just 2 matches. Again. That is wrong.

Finlay-Kidd was a great match with solid psychology 101 (Kidd picked a body part and worked on it relentlessly), but we didn't need the screwjob finish. Blame that on the writers conditioned to insert such lame reams. Would've been better if Kidd followed up the shillelagh shot with his finisher, to tell the truth.

Christian-Dreamer was just as good, but you could see the finish coming a mile away after the opening segment. Swagger is now a crybaby just because the veteran Christian outplayed him by using the same ream (uncovering the turnbuckle). Rookie gets taken to school, film at 11. I smell a 3-way at Judgment Day, since Dreamer's contract actually expires right before Extreme Rules on 6/7.

Two weeks in a row Tiffany has looked like a rookie trying to talk to the live audience. She doesn't have Teddy Long virtually holding her hand anymore, but she isn't as bad as Vicki Guerrero. Nobody could be as bad. I'm waiting for Striker to make with the references to the other Tiffany, and make jokes about malls and bubblegum pop records from 20 years ago......!

I still believe that should Dreamer decide to retire anyway, they'll let him hang around and replace Tiffany as GM.

I'm down with ECW moving back to 10 (ET) next week, as it won't cause too many conflicts with baseball. For now.

the hit and then the finisher would still count as a screwjob finish. That being said, excellent match.

    RIP Playboy Buddy Rose.

I actually think ECW moving back to 10:00 PM (why are they promoting it as a "new time", though?) is a good move.

School's about to end, and it extends the night a little.

Yeah I'm a big fan of the move to 10 p.m. because a.) it doesn't conflict with the end of baseball games mostly and b.) being at 9 p.m. was so awkward. It was like in the middle of the night, handcuffing you from watching a movie or something beforehand.

I really like Christian so I enjoyed the opening segment. I liked how he called for Swagger to go ahead and come out and then Tommy came out instead. Of course then Swagger came out, quickly followed by Robo-Tiffany. I don't know what the heck happened to her. I liked her backstage, but when she's out in the arena, something seems to happen to her. We need the permanent GM and soon.

"Payback's a " was my reaction to Finlay's loss by shillegah. I found it very rewarding to see that weapon finally cost Finlay a win. Tyson Kidd and Natalya made a great team this week.

I didn't quite get what was up with Kozlov in the uniform for his promo. It seemed kind of out of place to me. Is he going to start wrestling in that?

Gregory Helms on the ECW broadcast team? Wassupwitdat? If Helms is hurt again, this could be a good move for him. I don't expect Paul Burchill to have any better luck with Evan Bourne this time around.

Swagger interfering in the main event was not surprising after his reaction to the match being booked in the first place. He clearly wants to face Christian in his rematch. I actually think this was a good move for everyone involved. If this angle with Tommy has any hope of keeping any steam going into June, he can't lose a title match straight up in late April.

I don't know about that. It would be a big deal for Ted DiBiase to be on HEAT/Velocity. I'll grant that DiBiase and Bourne are no Undertaker and Edge, but that still sounds like a solid show to me.

I haven't seen the Scramble PPV matches, but I too was disappointed by this change. I find it surprising that WWE has a promo spot ready to go one night and then changed it for the next night. Not sure why that happened. It should have been one or the other from Monday on.

Agreed, and I think they may be holding the spot open for Dreamer after he retires from competition in June.

Last point first. I think ECW head writer "Uneasy" Ed Koskey doesn't have anyone for Helms to feud with at the moment, but they need to justify drafting him somehow. Think back, though, to the superhero days of Hurricane. Helms did some reporting, albeit by wearing a hat to cover the green dye in his hair. Now, he's a straight up backstage interviewer for the duration, and that job never has much in the way of security (see for example Lena Yada). I think he'll be back in the ring soon. It's just a matter of finding an opponent not named Kozlov for him. (hint, hint)

As Lee Corso would say on ESPN, not so fast, my friend. I see this becoming a triple threat at Judgment Day.

i think the reason for helms being a backstage interview may have to do with the condition of his neck.
