Seems like ABC is confident about this new show. I've been somewhat excited of this project for quite awhile, it's based on a 1999 novel of the same name. The project was originally planned for HBO but was moved to network television when they realized that it may find greater success on prime-time. ABC has two sci-fi projects in development this season, this one and a revival of "V" (which stars a certain Lost castmember by the way..); I really hope they would pick up "V" as well, I've heard decent things about it too.

I heard they've wanted to revive "V" for many years, but haven't moved forward because every proposal didn't bring anything new; it was just the old miniseries all over again. I hope things have changed and that this isn't just their getting tired and approving it anyway.

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Viewers tuning in for the 100th episode of "Lost" next week will be served an extra dose of mystery.

Sources said ABC will be launching a stealth promo campaign for new series "Flash Forward" during the episode, in which Daniel Faraday (Jeremy Davies) will come clean about what he knows about the island.

While questions from the dense mythology of "Lost" probably will be answered in the episode, the commercial breaks are sure to raise a host of new ones with perplexing snippets that might direct viewers to a Web site.

The mystery spots will in fact be for "Flash Forward." They are said to be part of an elaborate marketing campaign for the drama, which has not officially been picked up but is quietly being positioned on ABC's schedule for next season.

From the moment in September when the "Flash" spec script by filmmaker David S. Goyer and "Star Trek" veteran Brannon Braga landed at ABC with a series commitment, the project has been considered a perfect companion for "Lost."

Based on Robert J. Sawyer's sci-fi novel, "Flash," starring Joseph Fiennes, chronicles the aftermath of a global event in which everyone in the world blacks out for 2 minutes, 17 seconds and has a mysterious vision of the future.

Anyone planning on watching? I'm probably going to do weekly talkback threads, and I don't want to do them if only two people reply.

I'm excited about the show. I've read a few reviews of the show, and they're positive, overall. I liked the Lost writers' ability to make the flashbacks/flashforwards like a puzzle, but the "real world" subplots were never particularly enticing.

I'll definitely give the show a go, since I'm a gigantic Lost fan. The cast for this looks pretty strong.

Thursday at 8:00 is a lousy time though. Thursday night is so overly crammed with shows I watch as it is.

Survivor's ratings have been going down year-to-year, this will be a perfect time for other networks to capture some sort of dominance in this timeslot.

I recall them saying that if the show does well and they're comfortable with it, they'll likely move it to the post-Lost slot (Wednesdays at 10). Although that has been a death slot in recent years. But then it would logically follow that since it's Lost's last season, Flash Forward would take over that Wednesdays at 9 slot next year if it was successful enough.

Actually that may have been V though, I don't totally remember.

There's nothing good on Thursdays except for Supernatural, so I will definitely be watching. Hopefully it is as good as it looks.
