Yes, yes we did. But that's not gonna stop the hardcore fans from checking it out. Even though they know it sucks they still gotta see it.

I'm fairly sure the hardest of hardcore fans have already seen the film through the usual illegal channels and are ready to tell you "DON'T SEE THIS CRAP!!!". Or... they could be like me and have come to the same conclusion from the first 30 seconds of the trailer.

I have a feeling this thread will go the way of Disaster Movie and The Legend of Chun-Li's respective talkback. No one goes to see it and it's just filled with endless complaining and bashing.

Yeah pretty much, a lot of people that I friend on YT are a part of this "DRAGON BALL PROTEST" where they plan to boycott the film and any of the merchandise for it.

RT Update: Down to 21%! This means the film would have to fall an additional 18 points to catch up with Good Luck Chuck.

Preemptive edit: And also Delta Farce, the coveted 0% held by "Manos" The Hands of Fate is of course unattainable because the film somehow managed to get at least one good review.

Exactly. Chun-Li wasn't even that bad, I mean it was mediocre but far from horrible yet people will make their biased opinions without even watching the movie. Way to be go Toon Zone and internet in general. I probably won't see it for a while but I think this review summarizes what I think the movie will be:

I'm going to give this movie a chance. Sure, it will most likely be crap, but come on people, just because it does not look like the anime does not mean it will automatically suck. Speed Racer was pretty good, and that was nothing like the anime (thank god). Besides, if you wanted an accurate DB movie, we would have 55 minutes are two characters just staring at each other like they are constipated.

What i find really messed up is what a couple of people who are part of an anime club said today. They said they were going to see it tomorrow with the entire group just so they could MST3K it until they are kicked out of the theater. -_-

I don't dislike the movie because its not as faithful to the original (I mean, if that were true, I would have hated Speed Racer) I dislike it because its a bad movie on its own. Bland characters and a movie that looks like it has little to no effort in it does not an interesting film make. Plus, Marsters just isn't in it enough apparently.
