So Indy 4 got the Razzie over films like The Day The Earth Stood Still, Meet the Spartans, and Disaster Movie.
People really hate it that much? I watched a ton of other movies last year that were worse.

LOS ANGELES — Mike Myers' "The Love Guru" has found some disciples among Razzies voters who pick Hollywood's lowest achievements.
And Paris Hilton is getting her own Razzies moment with three awards all on her own at a ceremony that spoofs the Academy Awards on the eve of the Oscars.
"The Love Guru" won three Razzies on Saturday for worst picture, actor (Myers in the title role) and screenplay, which Myers co-wrote. Hilton's three prizes are worst actress for "The Hottie and the Nottie," supporting actress for "Repo! The Genetic Opera" and screen couple alongside either of her "Hottie" co-stars, Christine Lakin or Joel David Moore.
With three Razzies, Hilton tied the record set last year by Eddie Murphy, who won worst actor, supporting actor and supporting actress for his multiple roles in "Norbit."
Pierce Brosnan was chosen as worst supporting actor for "Mamma Mia!" The worst-director Razzie went to Uwe Boll for three movies: "In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale," "1968: Tunnel Rats" and "Postal."
Razzies voters also gave a prize for worst career achievement to Boll, whose critically drubbed movies include "Bloodrayne" and its sequel.
"Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" was named worst prequel, remake, rip-off or sequel.
"She is the 21st century Zsa Zsa Gabor. She is famous for who she hangs out with. She's not famous for any talent she has yet exhibited," Wilson said. "She may end up working with Uwe Boll. She could be the head vampire in `Bloodrayne 3.'"
"The Love Guru" features Myers as the world's second-best self-help guru, who must come to love himself before he can fully realize his potential. The movie topped out at $32 million at the domestic box office, chump change compared to the haul of Myers' "Austin Powers" sequels.
Wilson disagreed with other Razzies voters on "The Love Guru," saying that after watching it again to pull clips for the group's awards ceremony Saturday night, he did not think it was the year's worst movie.
"A couple of things he did got me to laugh, and these days, two laughs in a comedy is a high ratio," Wilson said.
In "The Hottie and the Nottie," Hilton plays a babe who won't date until her homely best pal lands a man. Hilton has a small role in "Repo," a horror musical about organ recipients who face a visit from the repo man if they fall behind on the payments.
"Repo" and "Hottie" combined did not even manage to take in $200,000 at the domestic box office.
Unlike many years, when one movie dominates, the Razzies were shared among a variety of flicks.
One voter joked that "we decided to spread the loathe around," Wilson said. "Everybody got kicked in the shin at least a little."

There's one big problem, Repo was only in select theaters anyway, I live in Dallas, and it was in only one special arts movie theater. It couldn't make over 200,000 because lionsgate didn't want to advertise or pay to have it in any theaters. Besides she played the part of a talentless whore that her daddy buys her everything including plastic surgery and drugs. Its more of a character based loosely on her.
Besides i wonder how the DVD is doing, I saw it at a local walmart, so it may make more money that razzie's think.
they didn't even mention it was based off songs sung by the creators like 5 years ago. And its not a musical, its an opera, you think people who claim to know the worst would at least have their facts straight. If Lionsgate cared about more than Saw, it would have made money, clear and simple
and why is her brother mentioned in her screen hookup, the one line was a joke in the song, they aren't dating. Small role, she was on at least 25 to 30 minutes
You know what I call on that? SHENANIGANS! SHENANIGANS! Disaster Movie should have swept every award. I had no problem with Indy 4 really, it was an OK film, I can understand why people hate it, but when it wins things over Disaster Movie... what the hell? At least Love Guru got the award it deserves. I didn't even see any advertising for it when it went to DVD, it like it quietly snucked into my stores DVD department.

It probably got a lot of negativity because it was a movie that set our hopes high and then dashed them in the first shot of the film. We all knew Disaster Movie was going to be a...you know...but there were a lot of people pulling for Lucas and Spielberg to pull rabbits out of their hats and deliver a great Indy flick.
I didn't mind it, personally, but I can see why a lot of people thought it was terrible. It certainly didn't live up to the 15-year hype. (That, admittedly, only us the fans are responsible for.)
Obviously Indy 4 was bad enough for South Park to base an entire episode on it. Because we all know Trey Parker and Matt Stone love speaking for the majority.

Beh. I don't care what the Razzies say. I liked Indy 4. It was no Raiders, but it was still entertaining.

Okay, I saw Repo! The Generic Opera a week ago (it's really awesome, try it if you like, but if you are a rocker, you can't ignore this)and I really liked Paris' role in that one.
They're definatly screwing me, just because they hated only one role, just because she's Paris Hilton? Have they've even seen the film?!
I bet as soon as they learned Paris was in it, they were like "OMGZ, PaRis Hiltn is IN IT, Let'S PuT Her in it, B543534se we LOOOOOOVe bASHING Her, LOLZ!11"
There are opinions, and there are dumb opinions.![]()
Yeah, Paris actually wasn't that bad in Repo.

Well, the Razzies are known to screw a celebrity for no apparent reason, I mean, they did it to Lindsay Lohan last year.
It makes sense for The Hottie and the Nottie, because it indeed looks bad.
But Repo? Which is best musical that I have ever seen in my opinion? These guys really want to make us mad.![]()
Offensive? Just because of some plot element, a fridge-nuking, and a few changes to the character, it's considered offensive? Of course it was going to be different from the original trilogy. And given Lucas' previous history with continuations of stuff he did decades ago, I certainly wasn't expecting something as good as Raiders. To me, Spielberg did a decent job trying to recapture the feel of the original films and it deserves a rightful place in the Indy legacy just as much as the other films. Just because a ton of nostalgic fanboys can't accept it doesn't mean it should be considered one of the worst movies of 2008. So, I don't really think Indy 4 should win a Razzie just because it didn't live up to the hype. People should learn to be thankful for getting a new Indy film instead of complaining about how much is wrong with it.

I'll agree with the oddness of Indy 4 winning a Razzie. Was it up to par with the original? Of course not. But it wasn't that bad. I think I prefer it to Temple of Doom, honestly.
Otherwise, no-brainers. Do we need them to tell us Uwe Boll is a terrible director? We've figured it out, guys. It's not a secret any more.![]()

No, because it's a terrible movie from start to finish that has forever tarnished the Indy series, and I was never even much of an Indy fan to begin with.
That doesn't make any sense at all. Why should people be thankful for something they were unhappy with?People should learn to be thankful for getting a new Indy film instead of complaining about how much is wrong with it.
Oh great, that's all we need. Uwe Boll directing Paris Hilton's porn movies. That would kill the industry, if people were dumb enough to buy them.John Wilson, founder of the Razzies, said Boll and Hilton's movies are so bad, he could envision a collaboration between the two.
I didn't mind it, personally, but I can see why a lot of people thought it was terrible. It certainly didn't live up to the 15-year hype. (That, admittedly, only us the fans are responsible for.)
Even factoring out the hype and expectations...if it had been a stand-alone pic...it still isn't all that good. I mean, old people hooking up in their 60s set against flesh-eating ants, Cate Blanchette's worst performance and crystal aliens in a Mayan temple?
And let's be honest - this picture only came about BECAUSE of the hype. Because Harrison Ford is this huge megastar! You really can't factor it out. The whole movie was designed around the fact that it was a concept. "Oooh! Let's bring back Indy when he's older! And he has a son! And the mother is MARIAN! And oh oh how about a twist! Like ALIENS! Yeah Yeah!"
It's not so much a movie as it is a bunch of ideas through together with fan-fiction about the characters from the previous films. I wouldn't show it to anyone or sit through it even for fun. It wasn't fun.
It almost was, in that scene with Shia starting a fight at the campus watering hole and then speed away. But after that? It fizzled.
So yeah...it's a pretty big disappointment. Why keep giving the "BLANK Movie"s more attention by saying they're the worst every year? They WANT to be the worst. It's hardly worth pointing out.
Indy 4 the worst? Please! Believe it or not, I found it to be the best Indy film of all. Well worth fifteen years.
