Classic WrestleMania moments and what others thought of it.

I remember being like 6 or 7 when Hulk Hogan defended the World Championship against Andre the Giant at WrestleMania III and I remember both children and adult's alike revving up for this huge contest back in the day. I remember teachers talking about it, adults talking about it, people on the news were talking about it and the results were printed in the local paper and I clipped them out and my dad laminated them and I still have it to this day. One news story broke of real bookies taking bets on the outcome of the main event, it really was the biggest and most anticipated match of all time, or at lest one of them. When I watched it live i remember thinking Hogan lost right off the bat when Andre collapsed on him (I was a kid and thought it was real, it was treated more real back then too), but when Hogan won I remember jumping up and grabbing my LJN's and having fantasy matches until my mom made me go to bed, it was classic.

I watched Wrestlemania 2 at a friend's house. A co-worker taped Mania 3-4, and I went to a friend's house for Mania 9. That, I think, was the last Mania I've actually bothered to watch.

Mania 2: Piper vs. Mr. T was a farce as a boxing match. Well, at least that told us Roddy was ready to do comedy....! My friend was SO upset that Piper lost, he didn't understand that Roddy couldn't bodyslam his opponent in a worked boxing match.

Jake Roberts vs. George Wells. Wells sold the use of Damien better than anyone else. Next thing I know, though, Wells is down in Texas (World Class), getting a push as Master Gee. Whodathunk?

Mania 3: Steamboat-Savage, Piper-Adrian Adonis in what was supposed to be Roddy's "retirement" match. Hulk-Andre, of course. Need anything more need be said?

Mania 4: Title tournament was about as entertaining, in hindsight, as watching grass grow. That's all I can say.

Mania 9: Yokozuna beats Bret Hart, but Mr. Fuji screwed Yoko by issuing an instant challenge to Da Huckster. Naturally, Hogan wins in nothing flat. JR's 1st Mania, and he has to wear a toga! Heenan on a camel. Priceless.

I was all about WM's title tournament, I went nuts when Savage won and I was largely for Savage when he defended and lost to Hogan at WM5 in an amazing main event. I remember being sooooo upset when Warrior beat Hogan at WM6, it was an event that made me literally stay up all night at 10 years old wondering "why". I have seen every wrestlemania from 1-16 and was able to see 3-16 Live on PPV when they aired, this year will be my first taste of WM since 2001, so I am excited and with my clean slate with WWE I hope they don't dissapoint.

    The Wrestlemania X Ladder match
    Wrestlemania 13 - Submission match
    Wrestlemania 17 - What a card
Wrestlemania 18 - i liked the match between taker and flair the best but hogan and rock had the atmosphere
19 - maybe my favorite wrestlemania
20 - it's unfortunate that i can't look at this event the same way again. Eddie and kurt had a tremendous match. HBK/HHH/Benoit had a classic. The moment between eddie and Chris at the end was so genuine and emotional, but eddie's gone and chris is a murderer. It's hard to look at that moment any more. Before that time, it was my favorite wrestlemania moment ever
    21 - kurt angle/hbk, nuff said
23 - Batista and Taker exceeded any expectations that i had

Another classic moment for me at WM was when Savage hit like 6 elbows on Warrior and Warrior still kicked out, but then Warrior did his press and Savage kicked out as well. I almost cried when Savage lost his "retirement" match, but of course he was back some months later and won the title at WMVIII!!!

Bolsheviks vs the Hart Foundation - Wrestlemania VI

Bolsheviks are doing their singing of the Soviet National Anthem. Neidhart is irritated as all hell. The song ends... no! It's Wrestlemania, and Nikolai is doing the extended version. Neidhart SNAPS!~ and attacks Nikolai, promptly tosses him out of the ring. "What kind of sportsmanship is that, Gorilla?" Zukoff is lifted for the HART ATTACK and the three count.

My all-time favorite squash match. Look for it on youtube if you've never seen it.

This was classic, lol. Remember the Bolsheviks in the back locker room about to sing their anthem and the pianist couldn't get the song right, lol classic. Fun times, fun times.

How about the Bushwackers selling popcorn during a Rythem and Blues concert and then Honkey noticed them and Bushwackers cleaned house, another classic moment.

Wrestlemania III: The classic. Andre vs. Hogan and Steamboat vs. Savage.
Wrestlemania IV: The best tournament ever.
Wrestlemania X: The first major ladder match: HBK vs. Ramon
Wrestlemania 13: Probably the worst Wrestlemania matches wise, but had perhaps the best mania match ever with Stone Cold vs. the Hitman.
Wrestlemania 2000: Triangle Ladder Match: Dudleys vs. Edge/Christian vs. Hardy Boyz. It took ladder matches to an all new level and was the precursor to TLC matches.
Wrestlemania X8: This featured probably the best crowd ever with Rock vs. Hogan.

WrestleMania X - Bret Hart vs Owen Hart
WrestleMania XII - Iron Man Match - Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels

You're ashamed of going around calling yourself Poffo so you probably got the name Savage because you're ashamed of putting yourself on the same level as your brother because he is much better than you are. YOUR BROTHER IS A HUMAN BEING. YOU'RE NOTHING BUT A SCUMBAG. THAT'S WHAT YOU ARE; YOU'RE A DOG. YOUR NAME IS POFFO." - Ronnie Garvin to Randy Savage, ICW Wrestling, 1980.

Wrestlemania 14 (The one in 1998): The match between Undertaker and Kane was epic in my opinion.I loved that dark thrilling storyline as a kid and that match was classic.

I don't watch wrestling anymore and want nothing to do with it unfortunately.

The only WrestleMania I ever saw live was X-7. Lucky for me too since it seems like the final send-off to the Attitude Era. I remember the moment at the very end when Austin and McMahon joined forces to take out The Rock was incredibly shocking.

The triple threat main event in Wrestlemania 20 is just a downright amazing match and I will always be able to rewatch it time and time again. Regardless of how you feel about Benoit, you have to admit that him getting Triple H to tap was an incredible moment. My favoirte spot of the match though would be that BRUTAL sweet chin music Benoit took to the face while giving Triple H the sharpshooter. He practically got decapitatated, it was awesome.
