Football's all-star game comes to you from Hawaii this afternoon. Next year the game will move up to the week before Super Bowl XLIV and take place from the same site as the big game, Miami. Nothing is set for the following year.

Kurt Warner must've played a little bit, because by the time I arrived at a local restaurant to watch the game, the Saints' Drew Brees was playing. The Cardinals' Larry Fitzgerald was named Pro Bowl MVP, but the real story is both Peyton and Eli Manning participated in today's game, and in the end, two and a half years after the Manning Bowl in prime time, in which Peyton's Colts defeated Eli's Giants, 26-21 and both brothers eventually went on to win their respective Super Bowls and to be named MVPs of each game, although Peyton didn't turn the ball over for the AFC All-Star Squad, this was clearly Eli's game, so he should get an honorable mention as far as offensive player of the game is concerned. NFC beats AFC, 30-21. That puts the cap on the 2008-09 NFL campaign. The offseason now begins, especially with NASCAR's Daytona 500, next weekend, NCAA basketball March Madness, next month and MLB's Opening Night in April, looming.

Man, not a lot of love for the Pro Bowl...

I didn’t give it my full attention, but I had it on the whole time. I’m an NFC guy so I like seeing them win and Jared Allen forcing and recovering a fumble which led to an Adrian Peterson touchdown was a cool thing as a Vikings fan.

I have to say I was also rather impressed with Larry Fitzgerald. I guess all those high draft picks the Cardinals have been getting had to pile up eventually. I had a hard time understanding how the Cardinals even got to the Super Bowl, but it's starting to make sense now.

I like watching the PRO BOWL every year.
And the 2009 game was entertaining.
AP had a TD. Fitzgerald was doing his thing.
And I like the brief interviews with the new class of Hall of Famers.
SAD that after 30 years the Pro Bowl will not be in Hawaii next year.

Nothing is set for the year after, so I'm hopeful it will return in 2011. I think the changes aren't going to go over well and you don't want to remove the Pro Bowlers from the two Super Bowl teams from the game.
