This question is mostly for Daughter of Evil, but all can feel free to subit their opinions!

Daughter of Evil mentioned that Fox was going to do a live action version of Battle Angel. But how different is this than the Japanese doing live versions of their manga and animie shows? I have seen several live action versions on Japanese DVD sites I've been to (tho specific names escape me.) I have never sought out to see any of these live action movies, however. I cannot imagine how a great animie series or magna series that takes up 13 parts or so could be better in a two hour movie? It's not something I ever had a desire to see done, but how can you fault Fox for trying to do what Japan has done for years with their magna stories?
