"Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh" coming in December

I saw the preview for this tonight during the iCarly season premiere. It looks decent. Any thoughts for those who've seen it?

I haven't seen any ads yet (though my brother did last night), but I'm looking forward to it. I started getting into Drake & Josh about a year ago and think it was a pretty funny show, one of Nick's better efforts in a very long time.

I heard about this before, but I thought that it was a rumor. I'm happy that it isn't since I also enjoy Drake & Josh. I'm just hoping that the Christmas special will bring about some good laughs as the series did for me.

I've been watching D&J since 2005. It's definitely the best tween show. Even though the show ended a year ago and that's left is repeats...it's still better than everything else.

It wasn't that bad, but if you ask me, it isn't a natch above Ned. Much better in nearly every catagory, from writing to characters.

Ned's Desclassified? I couldn't get into that one at all.

I remember reading rumors about Drake & Josh In New York, which was supposed to be a feature film, but then this Christmas movie seemed to come out of nowhere. I wonder if the film will/could still happen.

Oh, come on, man. You're kidding me. At least the characters developed.

Agreed, Ned's is probably my favorite Nickelodeon show ever made. Great writing, offbeat, wacky humor, and all the stuff that makes comedy great, but it also had a plotline and developing characters, which seems to be forsaken in most comedy shows.

As for D&J, interesting there's a new special coming out. Hopefully it's more than a typical "Christmas Carol" parody or something, or at the very least, a funny version of that one... any word if Miranda Cosgrove coming back in it? Or maybe it's just focusing on the brothers.

Yes! It will be great to see some more Drake and Josh. It was a great show.

I think Drake and Josh In New York is also being made. At least it says so on IMDB.

I don't see why she wouldn't be in it.

She's in it. In the commerical, they showed her opening the door and seeing Drake and Josh nude.

IMO, D&J and Ned's were/are the best LA nick shows of 00's.

I've never watched it regularly, but from the episodes I've caught here and there, I just didn't find much appealing about it. Daran Norris in particular was rather annoying.

Miranda is back. She said in TV Guide several weeks ago that she was excited to do it because she hadn't worked with Drake and Josh in almost two years. And I'm not sure of the details, but I believe the movie has something to do with D&J trying to reunite a little girl with her parents in time for Christmas, but their plans hit a snag when one of them lands in jail.

I couldn't get into either when it was originally on, but I've been watching the repeats on The N lately and it's a good show. My only problem is that shows about middle school shouldn't be so light-hearted. High School was bad, but middle school was what prepared you for it.

Crazy Steve is also back. He was in the commerical as well. I think the actor is cool as the brother on iCarly, but nothing tops Crazy Steve.

I'm sure everyone's experiences are different, but for me personally, Middle School was my two least favorite years of schooling. (Though there are still some good memories.) High School, however, was pretty much a blast and a welcome change.

Awesome! I love Crazy Steve. One of my favorite moments of his is the episode where everybody is stuck at D&J's house during a storm, and Steve gets obsessed with an episode of Dora The Explorer. "C'mon, Dora, what kind of explorer are you!? It's right behind you!!!"

Middle School was a double-edge sword for me. It sucked cause I went to a ghetto school, but it was fun cause everyday something interesting happened. As for High School...I'm not gonna be over-dramatic. There was good times and bad times. However, when it was all over I was happy to leave.

Thanks. At least it looks like a regular movie. I didn't like how Really Big Shrimp still had the audience laughter in it like a regular episode.

Because 'Really Big Shrimp', despite the way Nick promoted it, wasn't a movie, it was just the hour long series finale, just the one hour Field Trip episode of Ned's was it's series finale.

Exactly. I just hope that this is better than Go Hollywood. I was disappointed with that movie.

We're like...3 weeks away from the premiere. Nick has been airing a lot more ads lately. Just this morning alone I saw an ad for it during every other commerical break. lol.
