I do not consider myself a major movie person. Sure, if there is an upcoming film coming soon, you can bet your butt I'll have seen the trailer and read about it on wikipedia. But I do not always go in-depth like others and learn about people behind the movie magic (something I should really start doing). However, I do know my fair show of bad movie trivia and B-movie drivel.

So, why the heck has it taken me this long to learn about this Uwe Boll guy? (like literally yesterday I found out who he was).

Let me explain. I was watching my favorite net sensation the Nostalgia Critic (who is made of awesome) and looked at his upcoming 9 movie reviews. A few, I recognized as being pretty bad but they came out so long ago I had forgotten about them. So thanks to the magic of wikipedia, it allowed me to reunite with some old flicks. One of the movies on the list was Howard the Duck and I had to remind myself of that again.

After reading through the article, I realized at the bottom was a link to an article called "Worst movies ever made" or something like that. So, I checked it out. There was an interesting (and hilarious) list but what striked me the most was that BloodRayne was there (Let me interrupt by saying that I had NOT seen this movie or the sequel). Being the ignorant me, I had thought since it was based off a video game it would be bad but certainly not one of the worst movies of all time. After a while, I realized that a lot of video-game based movies were on the list. All directed by this one guy.

So I guess you can see where I went from there. (Seriously, there was a "Postal" movie?) Now I just have to ask. Is this guy freakin' serious? I mean 100% totally serious? I watched some clips of the movies and they really were...awful. And in his mind he believed that these were some of the greatest motion pictures of all time? And that he is the greatest director ever?

By the way, loved the response by the original creators to make a Metal Gear Solid movie and WoW movie. (Is that even possible?)

So a few questions
1) Where is this guy getting his money?
2) Why do people keep selling him liscenses to these franchises?
3) But seriously, A "Postal" movie? Was it any good?
4) Why Boxing of all things? Maybe the real question is, why does he keep challenging directors to boxing matches? Or more like, why was he even doing those?
5) Is there any new movies planned?

And I think this made me laugh out loud the most

Many are the hours I long for the day I could hold his head under the water of a bus station toilet, relishing his feeble thrashing attempts to resist as the life oozes from his body and he falls finally, limp against the floor. And that's just what I'd do for House of the Dead.

1) He gets his money from this weird tax law in Germany( Im not sure but I think its changed now ). How he gets sometimes talented actors like Ben Kingsley though..that's a mystery

2) All the movies he does aren't exactly big name games. That's why when he went for a high profile game like MGS he was flat out denied, and for WOW he was laughed at.

4)Inferiority complex. Honestly if I was a person with no talent of any kind, I'd be pretty miffed too.
