The table match had the same kind of stink to it that it did at Victory Road. Kurt Luthor's clone, Frank Trigg, butts in, and Angle steals another one. Russo's paw prints are all over this one.

I guess the feud now over the women's title will be Taylor Wilde vs. the Skank Sisters (Angelina Love & Velvet Sky). Why can't those two take their high school mean girl act somewhere else? I'm sick of them already.

Beautiful People? Uh, no. They're not THAT pretty. Petty, but not pretty.

Booker probably had the bat hidden in a pouch in his robe. Sting wasn't really there, but they're trying to sell that he's turned. Another Vince Russo atrocity.

Nice of Tenay to acknowledge Matt Morgan "moonlighting" on American Gladiators. Morgan gets a rent-a-jobber squash, and we now have a name for his finisher. Hellevator. Swank.

Karen Angle interviews Kaz. Bait & switch, as this continues next week in order to draw ratings. But how can you draw ratings when you take one step forward and five backwards every single week?

Ok, I get that they decided to lump Super Eric in with Shark Boy & Curry Man as the Prince Justice Brotherhood, but why am I envisioning Lauren being measured for a mask & tights of her own? Did you see how Curry put her hand on top of his?

Admittedly, she would look good as a superheroine. It worked for Stacy Keibler for a while a few years back.

It was exciting for me to hear Jimmy Rave yell “We love you Evansville” as that’s where I live when I’m not on vacation.

How much would it cost to book Carl Weathers? It seems to what they are now going for with Consequences Creed. If Abyss is coming towards me, I’d run no matter how many people I had with me.

So Karen’s Angle is Rough Cut with a host? Okay, I guess I can handle that. I could obviously tell that Kaz did not make it very far in WWE, but I had no idea it was so rough on him. I hope he tells us more.

The MMG interview was great. They didn’t yell or scream, but they were intense and said a lot. The Zach Morris DVD comment was good too. I’ve actually seen that movie—it’s not very good.

The match between those two teams was great up until the point where it came down to full on cheating. The straps were being used well and it was a very fun match and then Jackie had to get in the way. I’m rather disappointed.

I also didn’t like seeing Taylor beat Velvet Sky twice in a row so quickly I don’t think that did either of them any good. The third match actually last awhile making it better, but not anything too special.

Daivari is another victim of the apparent rule that you must be a main eventer in order to keep your ring name. Daivari or ‘Sheik Abdul Bashir’ it’s not possible for an Iranian to have an Arab name!

It’s amazing to me that Val hasn’t seen the footage of Sonjay faking his injury. It’s on tape! Go watch it!! You’d find out Dutt stole your ring too! Of course I bet Jay won’t see that footage either.

I liked that the table match was elimination rather than just a single fall, but that purpose was defeated when Devon came back and then even more so when Frank Twig or whatever his name is showed up.

“I would, but I hear your wife’s not a very good kisser.”

Stop the Sting good-or-bad rollercoaster, I want to get off.

    don west:
' this is just like vicotory road where aj had the advantage and frank trigg came in and got the distraction allowing kurt angle to get the win.'

no don, it's more like victory road and the past two months of impact main events.....

would it really kill tna creative to actually have an ending where the face wrestlers get some kind of an advantage?? at least a clean match ending with a face winning and a little celebration without some idiots hiding around the corner waiting to pounce and kill everything...i know it's wrestling and i don't want barney and friends or candyland but lets at least show that the faces do have some power too.

i think the tna really now stands for 'total nihilism action'

As usual another lame show from TNA. I think TNA would get 10 times better if they replace West and Tenay, or who's ever feeding them lines every second. They kill any kind of mood. Also how many times does a show have to advertise the main event and a promo by Booker? Honestly they kept showing that advertisement almost before every commercial break. And what was the point of having Taylor Wilde go over twice on Velvet Sky in 25 seconds and just brush it off? I'm not saying that as a Beautiful People mark, I'm saying that as a casual fan who witnessed two people's cred go down for no reason.

The high school mean girls (Beautiful People) need to be taken down a few pegs. They're trying for the same vibe as the male heels, but it gets old faster.

TNA advertising their main event/segment ad nauseum is just a desperate way of keeping people interested. Unfortunately, when you have a retired wrestler (Dutch Mantel), a semi-retired ex-champion (Jeff Jarrett), and a washed up fanboy scribbler (Vince Russo, public enemy #1) making up the core of your creative staff, and the washed up fanboy does most of the writing without editorial intervention, TNA keeps running in place or backwards, rarely forward.

I like that they acknowledged that it was silly, though, by having Val say she didn't watch it because "she doesn't like violence." That's so cheesy, but then again, it fits because this whole angle is cheesy. On a related note, I really like Sonjay Dutt ever since he's become heel. He's so goofy.

The highlight to me was the MCMG promo. It's stupid that these guys don't get to talk more often because that was the best TNA promo in awhile. I'd say TNA is about one tag team away from having a really awesome division. Also MCMG should be tag champs at some point within the next six months to a year.

The tag match was pretty good, but I can't help but feel that these matches would be better without stipulations -- both this strap match and Victory Road's "fans revenge" match. It seems like stipulation matches should only be used in rematches, anyway. Regardless, any Impact with a MCMG vs Beer Money match (or substitute either for LAX) on it gets a thumbs up from me.

Curry Man is another guy that REALLY needs more promo time. So awesome. "SHARK SHARK SHARK I LIKE IT!" Him and Shark Boy are such a great comedy duo. If only Eric Young wasn't involved, a man who hasn't been funny in forever.

The 6-man was fine, but the booking was predictable until the end. I really figured AJ would win, and I kind of wish he did. AJ needs another victory in this feud before he's declared the loser. Also Frank Trigg still annoys me, and that was the EXACT same finish as Victory Road. C'mon, booking team.

I was fine with the Joe/Booker deal until the end. I think Booker holding the bat and Joe being down so QUICKLY was cheesy. I also would prefer Sting not be back in TNA, but at least he's a heel. I was genuinely surprised that TNA decided to turn him. No idea how the booking of this will go.
"Leaping Lanny and Randy Savage are brothers, and Randy Savage, your name is Randy Poffo. THAT'S RIGHT, RANDY POFFO. You're ashamed of going around calling yourself Poffo so you probably got the name Savage because you're ashamed of putting yourself on the same level as your brother because he is much better than you are. YOUR BROTHER IS A HUMAN BEING. YOU'RE NOTHING BUT A SCUMBAG. THAT'S WHAT YOU ARE; YOU'RE A DOG. YOUR NAME IS POFFO." - Ronnie Garvin to Randy Savage, ICW Wrestling, 1980.

    1. Simply put, Kurt Angle refused, IMPO, to do the right thing for business. Since he's palsy-walsy with Russo, welllllll.....!

    2. I don't think Sting is turning heel. He & Joe are being played for fools by Angle, Booker, & Team 3D. This will become very apparent, leading up to something at Bound For Glory, though I don't think the fans can wait that long.
