Tonight, Colin Olsen Delaney bounces back!
Now five days away from WrestleMania XXIV, ECW comes to you tonight on Sci-Fi. ECW's biggest contribution to the big even will be three Money In The Bank contenders, plus Chavo Guerrero needs to prepare for 24 possible opponents, some of which he may not know until Sunday night.
Mayhem before 'Mania?
March 25, 2008
On the final ECW before WrestleMania XXIV, Superstars will surely be looking to secure an advantage for their contests at The Granddaddy of Them All.
CM Punk is coming into WrestleMania week strong after earning a Six-Man Tag Team Match victory with partners Jesse & Festus. The Straightedge Superstar has money on his mind; with a win in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, Punk will have the opportunity to challenge again for a much-coveted championship. Shelton Benjamin, who was on the losing side of last week’s contest, will look to turn the tables and generate some momentum for Money in the Bank. His partner in the Six-Man Tag Team Match, John Morrison, will be looking to do the same. The Shaman of Sexy qualified for the contest when he beat fellow WWE Tag Team Champion, The Miz, on SmackDown. Will any of these ECW Superstars get a final leg up on Sci Fi?
ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero is also in good spirits after defeating Colin Delaney and denying him an ECW contract last Tuesday. Guerrero is ready for the tri-brand 24-Man WrestleMania Battle Royal to determine his next challenger for the ECW Championship. Chavo's destruction of Delaney was a warning message that rang loud and clear across the Land of the Extreme. Will Chavo have anything to say as WrestleMania XXIV draws closer? Will any of the Battle Royal participants look to make a final splash?
What will happen just five days before the biggest night of the year? Find out on ECW on Sci Fi, tonight 10/9 CT.

I have so much respect for Trevor Murdoch. He's just always trying something new. Even if it completely blows up in his face, he's always trying to expand his move set.

Fun little tag-team match. Nice to see Kendrick with the heels. I guess they are pushing Kendrick as a heel even though they didn't mention his walking out on his partner.
Interesting that the battle royal will now be on wwe.com. I guess they didn't have room for it on the actual card.
Grampa: I say we call Matlock. He'll find the culprit. It's probably that evil Gavin MacLeod or George "Goober" Lindsay.
Bart: Grampa, Matlock's not real.
Grampa: Neither are my teeth, but I can still eat corn on the cob, if someone cuts it off and smushes it into a fine paste. Now that's good eatin'!

I thought they were going to go with Colin as a surprise entrant in the battle royal. even though he's not under contract, he could've won a match tonight and gotten a contract with that win. I guess the Colin push will have to wait.
Overall, a so-so RAW.

College football, basketball, the NFL, the NBA, and MLB. I may not be an expert, but these sports always keep me fascinated if the game is good!

Beware The Almighty Hammer Gun!
I am not pleased with the battle royal going to the pre-show. I was excited to have a big match like that on the card as well as putting all those guys on the card. For many it would be their first WrestleMania and for someone like Hacksaw it could be his last depending on how long his comeback goes. I guess they are still officially on the card, but no one will see it on pay-per-view. Now it's just like all the other battle royals they have done the past how ever many years. When WrestleMania was four hours or three-plus it used to be because there was tons of matches to offer a bigger experience and use more of the roster, this year there are nine scheduled including "BunnyMania" which just makes it 1 or 2 more than a typical PPV card.
I guess talking about the show itself, I liked the tag match despite the awkwardness of having all those guys on the apron. I was surprised Snitsky got the fall, but just confused that Big Daddy V seems to have been removed and replaced with Matt Striker. Striker was also on the match screen in the "WrestleMania card" segment and V was not.
Shelton vs. Carlito was a very good match between a SmackDown guy and a RAW guy on ECW. That aside, I was very impressed.
Gordon Solie is a great Hall of Fame induction. I just remember him from WCW back in the day and I always impressed.I know WrestleMania is in Florida, but I'm a bit surprised to see three inductees well-known for their time in Florida and not the WWE at all. Plus the fact that three of the seven have passed away. It just seems like a very uneven group. Flair is a huge deal though.
I wish they wouldn't have split Layla off of The Miz. I liked him having a chick, I wonder if they want to avoid the team being like MNM with two guys who think they're hot stuff and a woman. She's just kind of lost still fighting with Kelly.
Things almost never seem to work out well for Tommy Dreamer. He lost at the top of the show and then at the end of the show. There's only one way his week can get better and the 23 guys who all piled on top of Chavo will have something to say about that possible improvement.

Man, does Vince want to hear from Guinness Book, or what? I don't think there's been a 24 man tag match before. Seems weird seeing Kendrick on the heel team, yet they did nothing to further what happened last week when he left London behind vs. Umaga.
Dreamer vs. Chavo gets only 2 minutes? Not cool. I guess they needed to get the chicks on after leaving them off last week's show. I think that could mean TD gets one more shot at Chavo on Sunday.
Best match on the show was Benjamin vs. Carlito. One must remember the feud that they had on Raw 3 years ago over the IC title after Carlito cheated to win it on his first night on Raw.
My earliest memory of Gordon Solie was when we first got TBS on cable back in the 80's. Nobody pronounces suplex "su-play" (or su-ple) anymore. Gordon was the anti-Vince as an announcer. He never had to scream to get the point across the way Vince did.
I am so going to be watching the induction show on Saturday, provided I don't fall asleep first.
