    Turner taps into New Line Cinema's Unreleased Films

    Turner Broadcasting's TBS and TNT are trying to corner the market on theatrical prebuys, locking up the cable-TV rights to four high-visibility movies set for release by New Line and Picturehouse later this year: "The Women," "Journey to the Center of the Earth," the Zac Efron vehicle "17 Again" and the Vince Vaughn-Reese Witherspoon comedy "Four Christmases.

    HBO has first rights to them anyway. This deal's no different than the one the Turner Nets did with sibling company Warner Bros. last week. Neoptism runs rampant in the Thirty Mile Zone. Synergy is still damned, at least within Time Warner.
    What does the X stand for? It's definitely not Extreme. Extreme starts with E.
