I agree, The Ice Storm is an excellent film, I thought it should have recieved an Academy Award nomination for best film, but it didn't get one (Ang Lee did get a Best Director nomination).
Not the easiest film to watch, but a really good one.

His wife, Elena, is reading self help books and losing patience with her husband's lies. Their son, Paul, home for the holidays, escapes to the city to pursue an alluring rich girl from his prep school. And young, budding nymphomaniac, Wendy Hood roams the neighborhood, innocently exploring liquor cabinets and lingerie drawers of her friends' parents, looking for something new. Then an ice storm hits, the worst in a century. Things get bad...
COMMENTS?
One of my favorite films of the 90's (and sadly one of the more overlooked ones) came out in a new SE dvd last week via The Criterion Collection. A little over a decade after it came out this is still probably Ang Lee's best film and maybe the best film of 1997.
