I just started watching Hustle recently and really enjoy it. I first happened to catch an episode after Doctor Who.

Last week's episode seemed to indicate that Mickey was gone (?) and Danny was voted in as the new leader (? again). Nothing was said to explain what happened either in the episode or the week before, though. Can someone clue me in?

Last week's episode seemed to indicate that Mickey was gone (?) and Danny was voted in as the new leader (? again). Nothing was said to explain what happened either in the episode or the week before, though. Can someone clue me in?

The actor who played Mickey left the show between series three and four. In the first episode of the fourth series, they mentioned in passing that Mickey was in Australia working on some big con. Danny was reluctantly elected leader because on one else wanted the job and several of them felt strongly that someone had to be in charge.

Personally, I didn't like the fourth series and Danny suddenly being the leader was one of the reasons. The show is all about cons that exists on so many levels. With Danny, what you see is often what you get.

Word is that Mickey might be returning, but that's far from confirmed. The rumors also indicate if he doesn't, next year (series five) will be the end of Hustle.
