    The Shadow Knows...

    Like This Thread!
Well...I saw it again for the first time since...whenever it came out. And it wasn't half-bad. I mean, it was a little cheesy, but all the things that made The Shadow were there. The story was over-the-top. But Alec Baldwin did a good job. I think The Shadow's makeup could have been done better. But still pretty entertaining.

"Did you think you would get away with it?"

I heard back in 1995 that there were plans for THE SHADOW 2. Anyone know if there were ever plans for a sequel? I know there won't be one now, but...

Despite a few plot holes and some bad acting, I really liked this movie. I wish there were new Shadow comics, Dark Horse was producing a few Shadow comics a while back, does anyone know what the copyright status is nowandays?

    If there was a sequel...

    I'd see it.

I caught the film a couple of years ago, and I think it is very underrated. Alec Baldwin was terrific in the title role, likewise John Lone as Shiwan Khan. The film (which, incidentally, was written by Spider-Man's David Koepp) looked great, though it was a shame that the supproting cast (Ian McKellen, Peter Boyle, Tim Curry, Jonathan Winters to name a few) had little to do. I also loved Jerry Goldsmith's score.

    I give it an 8.
I feel that a big problem with today's society is that we don't listen to our fellow man -- especially when I'm talking.
