The new season of American Inventor started yesterday. It's basically like American Idol only instead of singing there's inventions. I really like the concept of the show, the thing that needs improvement is the judges. The only judge who seems qualified this year is the British guy. I really wish they brought back the fat engineer from last year. I thought he was pretty good.

It's hard for anything like this not to be mildly entertaining. However, last year I saw one episode that had what must have been an over-five-minute montage set to "You Raise Me Up" where all the contestants told sob stories and burst into tears over everything. I couldn't take it.
