The syler having stolen candice's power thing was . I gotta admit I really didn't see that coming at all.

Wow,what an awesome eppy,and I knew that issac's final comic was the key to how to kill Sylar! The ending was also pretty awesome with the climatic battle between Sylar and Peter and this time it definetly seemed more evenly matched.

The only problem I had was figuring out what the devil the title is. TV Guide.com says String Theory, NBC.com says 5 Years In the Future, IMDb says Five Years Gone and Anime Freak has 5 Years Past.

I think peter and Sylar are evenly matched. True its ice vs Radiation, but both have telekenesis and flight and Peter has the advantage of time manipulation and invisibility

I'm pretty sure that 5 Years Past is what I saw on the title but it could be 5 Years Gone, its one of the 2 lol

I naturally squealed when most of this episode was Hiro central--even if I admit his older self being dark had that corny air (maybe it's the ponytail, ahaha)--of course with his friend having been dead for five years and half of NYC blown up, it's understandable.

Despite that, I didn't get officially hooked until I saw Nathan turn into Sylar and killed Claire. THAT certainly raised my eyebrows and let me audit out a loud, "Holy Crap!" By the last ten minutes, I was literally on the edge of my seat wondering just what would happen and how past Hiro will fix this mess.

Spoilers just incase, but I'm also very curious from the preview of the next episode. So, the little girl Molly can stop Sylar or is the narrator merely saying that to throw us off?

so thought I'd dust off my membership to post for what I think is one of the coolest shows on television

Just so many sweet reveals in this episode, too many to recount. Peter had a little Neo thing going on in the end there. Gets better every week, hope they didn't jump the shark with this episode.

Seriously, where is season 2 going to go from here?

Much better than last week's return, and technically, you can even not count this episode since it's a 'what if' one.

You gotta know something's up when Hiro comments that "I scare me." But at least we found out why later - Ando doesn't survive the NYC explosion.

'Future' Matt... he's got even more ballsy, between his interrogation tactics and his shoot-to-kill, no questions asked philosophy at the end. I kinda like it.

I have to agree with Neo Yi's comment... the episode really took off when it was revealed Nathan was Sylar, and he killed Claire!

And the last scene... pure awesomeness! I figure, we will get a full-blown Sylar-Peter battle before Hiro ends up killing him to save the world! I just hope Hiro knows what he's doing... for the sake of Ando and half the population of New York City!

What the heck is with the smoke trail when he's flying? Apparently Nathan's power has a Mach 2.

Peter/Hiro deluxe combo at the entrance of the building. Give Ando some popcorn to watch.

Yes, Matt is an idiot in the future. You think a guy with mind reading powers would know better. And the president's arm going through a metal door, come on, how does that not tip you off?

Keep in mind that the comic has a picture of sylar being stabbed by a guy with round glasses. It could be Hiro or it could be Ando. Or it could be Peter after absorbing the changling chick's powers. And Ando might still die, so...

There's also the chance that F-Sylar might be able to go back in time, oh man i hope not.

wow,ando sure did become quite a popular character in this eppy, i think this is the most people have talked about him in an eppy yet lol. but if ya think about it...would we really be able to handle Hiro without Ando being around?

Well, the Haitian was under the President's employ, so any mental block on the President's brain would be easily accepted by Matt.

BEST EPISODE YET. Future Matt is real a jerk while Future Peter is bad ass. Jessica in control of the body was surprised.I am curious of how Nikki got rid of Jessica.

Yeah. I get the feeling that what he is going to do since he now knows that Future Hiro power allow him to travel through time. He will pull a Cell before season finale.

I think the real question is...if Sylar had the power of flight - he had to have confronted and killed Peter's brother at some point; and likely BEFORE the bomb exploded since it was always his perogative to collect and exterminate the other Heros.

So in Peter's vision is it Sylar, or his brother?

I suppose it does make some kinda sense. Saving the cheerleader was step one. Having Hiro witness the bad future and become inspired to go back and actually kill Sylar was step two.
