Batman Begins is easily my favorite over Spidey 2 and Sin City.
Spider-Man 2 (2004)
Batman Begins (2005)
Sin City (2005)
Well, here we are. It's been fun doing these polls, and I hope you, ladies and gentlemen, have enjoyed them as well.
That said, let the voting begin!
Now this was a toughie for me. Sin City, while good, never really got me to care about the title characters like Spider-Man 2 and Batman Begins did. And while Spidey is my personal favourite of the two characters, it's difficult to ignore that Begins is a very strong movie. But, in the end, they're very different movies, despite both being based on a comic book. Comics are a medium, not a genre, and can cover everything from tragedy to humour, so it's sometimes difficult to compare them. Therefore, I've gone with the character I've loved since I was a little'un.
"Whoa! He stole that guy's pizzas!"
Batman Begins is easily my favorite over Spidey 2 and Sin City.

2010 Completed Game List
Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth; God of War III; Final Fantasy XIII; Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots; Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney; Grandia; Castlevania: Symphony of the Night; Power Stone; Power Stone 2; Dino Crisis
Batman Begins easily. However, I must note that I consider Spider-Man 1 to be second, as I enjoyed that more than the 2nd Spider-Man.
Argh, I can't possibly choose between Batman Begins and Spider Man 2. As far as I'm concerned they're the pinnacle of superhero movies, its like choosing between a Rolls-Royce and a Porsche. Both have well done plots, good acting, and spectacular characterization that easily carries the movie when the action does not.
I would suggest that it's not the medium, but the quality of perception and expression, that determines the significance of art. But what would a cartoonist know? -Bill Watterson
superman: the movie! wait, thats not here. then batman begins gets my vote. actually, i have thought of doing a personal greatest comic book movies and superman: the movie is #1 and batman begins is #2. i have a feeling batman begins may get shuffled around as the next couple batman films come out.
will there be a "part 2" of these threads to go with the current and next batch of movies coming out? (spider-man 3, fantastic four 2, iron man, the dark knight, ect)
ADAM WEST BATMAN ACTION FIGURES! ADAM WEST BATMAN COMIC BOOKS!
(The most excited I've been for ANYTHING Batman related for some time now)
BRING ROUTH BACK - THE CAMPAIGN TO KEEP BRANDON ROUTH AS SUPERMAN - dead. henry cavill is superman. BUT i'll be meeting mr routh at wizard world philly this year. so, THERE!!!!
Batman Begins, without a doubt. Easily the best comic book film ever made, and up there as one of my all time favorite movies. An excellent job at adapting Batman to the big screen, with a great story, and fabulous characters who were all well cast, not to mention tons of great moments.
Spider-Man 2 is second, but...it isn't even close, really.
Maybe this could be done again in one year, when there would be more movies to vote for. (Ghost Rider, TMNT, Spider-Man 3, and Fantastic Four 2 would all be added in, and some people's opinions might have changed)
Between the three, Spider-Man 2.
Batman Begins just hasn't held up for me at ALL. Every time I watch it, it seems more pretentious, and I notice a new plot hole.

I guess I'll vote for Spider-Man 2.
I haven't seen Sin City and I didn't like Batman Begins. I didn't really care much for SM2, either, but it did have some moments I liked.

I think Batman Begins actually doesn't deserve to be nominated purely on the fact that it does NOT want to be considered a comic book movie. Its totally grounded in reality and fails completely to embrace its own rediculousness. And I WILL NOT accept the Joker as some clown wearing make-up.
So based off the choices of which one captures the spirit of the comic the most, I'd say Sin City.
Batman Begins
Pretty easy choice for me. If X2 had been up there I'd have had some trouble, but I think BB is the best of those 3.
SM2 still lacks my favorite aspect of the Spider-Man character, his constant verbal quiping.
SC is great, but for me it's repeated watchablity is low.
None Of The Above, darn it. Those three wouldn't even make my Top Ten list.
Easily Batman Begins. I always forget about Sin City, and Spider-Man 2 is just awful.
Batman Begins is totally grounded in reality? Which reality would that be?
I was somewhat bored by Batman Begins. Almost the entire movie seemed to be about explaining things rather than telling an entertaining story. It's a fanboy movie with a big budget. I won't vote for it.
I thought Spider-man 2 was better than the first film and had some great fights and action sequences. I didn't care for Spidey's identity being revealed almost as an afterthought on the train, though. I'll probably vote for it but first...
I have to see Sin City. I looked it up and apparently it's by the director of Grindhouse: Planet Terror. I'm going to try to buy it this week and be back to vote for either this or Spider-man 2 before the week's over.
My personal favorites, Batman and Daredevil Director's Cut didn't make it to the final round, unfortunately. I read the OP's reasonings as to why but I still think Batman: Mask of the Phantasm should have been included, too.

Batman Begins all the way.
That of the big city. Nolan's Gotham is a fairly generic city (probably because it was shot largely in Chicago), it lacks the overall sense of surreal unrealistic hell that is Burton's depiction in his films. Also I'm still not too keen on Bale as Batman. Back in '89, Burton and Keaton created a character who was basically Nosferatu without fangs. His toys were simply that, they seemed less homemade and more like something fresh off a mass produced conveyer belt. There was no explanation whatsoever about where he got the stuff, just that he had it. After combining those two Batman seemed less realistic and ultimately closer to the idealized Batman of the 80's and early 90s. Nolan's Batman functions completely differently, his technology is practical (even the memory cloth is something thats completely feasible), he drives a tank instead of a magical supercar like the Batmobile. And his villains (at least the ones we've seen so far) lack the oddball supernatural element that characterized the ones in the comic (Scarecrow basically became one with his mask, not use it as a tool as BB Crane does, and Ra's is just some guy with a goatee, not the immortal geoterrorist we know and love).
I've probably overanalyzed this movie to death. But thats what you get for watching it a zillion times.
Out of those 3, I'd have to go with Spider-Man 2. I felt it was a great comic book movie from beginning to end, and I can't wait for the 3rd movie.
Batman Begins for me. Enjoyable from start to end.
