So how's the flash? Invasion 1 +4 or Shalka quality?
Doctor Who
"The Infinite Quest"
Fridays, 5:00pm, BBC 1
The Doctor and Martha become involved with a quest for a legendary spaceship, The Infinite. But not far behind is galactic villain Baltazar...
Thought this could use a series talkback. If anyone knows the details of the repeat showings, let me know and I'll add them.
On the first episode....kinda meh. The animation made me think of Sealab for some reason. In general it was awkward in both animation and writing. Baltazar and his robo bird made me think of Lavender Castle.
So how's the flash? Invasion 1 +4 or Shalka quality?
Minor preview, check bottom left square for a few seconds http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/totally/
Their seems to be some cell shading involved and it's not low budget but it definetly feels like a web animation.
Funny that the host called it a "full-length feature". What cinema does he visit?
The Daily Express is a conservative, British tabloid newspaper. It is a middle-market title, the flagship title of Express Newspapers and is currently owned by Richard Desmond. As of December 2008, it has a circulation of 728,296.
I'm probably gonna wait untill the whole thing's compailed into a ligitlmate episode.
Second episode was much better. Saw the twist with the 'gift' coming'. Animation is still awkward. The Doctor constantly looks happy which is awkward when he's trying to sound serious or concerned.
Look's like they are taking a page from that wacky Farscape episode "Revenging Angel" that used animation scenes of the characters in the series. The art style seems similar from that picture as well.
More space pirates this week.
Missed it due to delays with trains. I'll be aiming to catch the repeat today.
