    Like This Thread!

Thursday night on Spike TV, it will be the final countdown to Sunday's “Hard Justice” Pay-Per-View event, with some huge matches set to take place on the broadcast!

MAIN EVENT: CHRISTIAN CAGE VS. “BIG POPPA PUMP” SCOTT STEINER
Management Director Jim Cornette announced this big main event match for “iMPACT!” as Christian Cage will face Scott Steiner for the first time in singles action on Thursday’s broadcast! Cage will back Sting and Steiner will be in Jarrett’s corner at the Pay-Per-View, but first they must survive each other this Thursday to make it to “Hard Justice”. Will Sting and Jarrett be watching closely? Will all hell break loose? Tune in and find out!

“THE FALLEN ANGEL” CHRISTOPHER DANIELS VS. HOMICIDE
At the “Hard Justice” Pay-Per-View event, NWA World Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels will defend the gold against The Latin American Exchange. However, this Thursday night it will be singles action as Daniels has challenged the crazed Homicide to fight him prior to the title bout. Is Daniels making a wise decision with his partner AJ Styles still not 100 percent after the last attack? What happens if Homicide hits Daniels with the “Gringo Killer”, the same insane move that hurt Styles? Tune in and find out this Thursday night!

THE PAPARAZZI (NASH, SHELLEY & DEVINE) VS. CHRIS SABIN, SONJAY DUTT & JAY LETHAL
Another bout stipulated by Jim Cornette for this Thursday’s “iMPACT!” will feature The Paparazzi of Kevin Nash, Alex Shelley & Johnny Devine taking on X Division enemies Chris Sabin, Sonjay Dutt and Jay Lethal in six-man action! With Nash vs. Sabin with a shot at the X Title for the winner scheduled for the “Hard Justice” Pay-Per-View, can Sabin or Nash gain the momentum heading into the epic event?

Also this Thursday on “iMPACT!” on Spike TV…

    - “The War Machine” Rhino will speak out about the upcoming “Falls Count Anywhere” melee against Samoa Joe and The Alpha Male at “Hard Justice”

    - More matches will be announced for the Sunday spectacular!

    - Plus, more of your favorite TNA stars will appear, including NWA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett, the legendary Sting, “The Monster” Abyss, the stars of TNA’s X Division, the TNA knockout babes and so many more!

This was a stupid Impact which is especially disappointing considering it is the big show before the PPV. The only valuable segments were Homicide-Daniels and Eric Young on TV. Say what you will about TNA only having one hour, really 44 minutes, but that doesn't excuse blatant misuse of time. A video segment about the HISTORY OF THE JARRETT-STING FEUD? No one cares. No one cares about this stupid feud that has gone on way too long. What has it done but keep outdated Sting and Jarrett in the spotlight longer? I mean it's made a joke of Christian Cage's title run and babyface gimmick. It looked like it was going to elevate Samoa Joe into the main event but TNA just decided to forget that existed. Oh, wait, it has added Scott Steiner. THE BIG BAD BOOTY DADDY. This has been stupid booking from Day 1.

Then we got Rhino vs. Joe vs. Monty Brown. I said a few weeks ago that TNA is trying to get behind Rhino as their babyface rather than Joe. Well, letting Rhino go out into the crowd does a lot to prove that. This was boring as they just fought and security broke them up as they do every single week.

The 6 way tag. Oh we have these great wrestlers. These great X Division Stars. What to do with them? Let's throw them together in a match with Kevin Nash! Sure Kevin Nash is the only thing saving the X Division right now, but that is in the segments. Not as in wrestling. They also killed Chris Sabin's theme…probably his only redeeming value.

Jay Lethal the next X Division Champ. As much as I like Petey Williams, Lethal is pretty over so this was a good idea. Anything is better than Senshi though.

LAX is the only thing going good.

Spike Dudley who cares. Slick Johnson who cares. Larry who cares.

Cage-Steiner match was predictably bad. The finish was no better.

Rhino with another bad promo, which led to a beatdown between him, "The Alpha Male" Monty Brown and Samoa Joe. Eh, could have done build-up better than this. Rhino's promo to start it off went on a little too long with him just screaming. He's really like the British Bulldog of this decade with promos.

I agree, the Jarrett-Sting feud certainly did not need to be recapped in such detail, especially since its been the focal point of the show for the past couple of months. The segments felt tideous, especially the last two which were detailing events of only two months or less ago. I still don't really care about this feud. I guess I'm rooting for Jarrett at Hard Justice only because, I don't want the NWA World title to change hands AGAIN so quickly. It doesn't need to become hot potato. And I'm hoping someone like Samoa Joe is waiting in the wings at Bound for Glory as the next big champion.

The 6 man tag was okay. Kevin Nash is only decent in the promos. He definitely isn't good in the ring, and he brought this match down with the little action he had. I couldn't help but notice that this 6 man happens and yet we don't see Petey Williams in action this week. I wonder when Austin Aries is coming back.

Speaking of that, Jay Lethal is randomly added to the match with Senshi-Williams, similarly to how Sonjay Dutt was added to the Samoa Joe-Senshi match a month or two ago. I don't like this because its sloppy booking and there's no apparent reason for why he's doing it. Plus, it seems like there's been a ton of triangle matches or specialty matches in the X Division lately. It'd be nice to establish some 1 on 1s to make the speciality matches more...special. As for who should win, I'm rooting for Petey Williams, but as long as Senshi's reign doesn't continue, I'm good.

LAX-Styles/Daniels is the best feud going and it continued here. This is becoming my favorite part of the show. Homicide and Daniels put on probably the best match on TNA free TV in weeks, maybe months, with the little time they had (and maybe they should have gotten even more time with the bad segments). Great stuff with AJ coming down to make the save afterwards.

Abyss-Sharkboy was forgettable. The only thing good about this match was that Sharkboy got buried for two seconds, which is nice. I legitimately hate that gimmick. Spike Dudley was annoying as hell this episode, and I'm continually annoyed with how buried Abyss is getting. He went from the #1 contender to Christian's title about three months ago to feuding with the Dudleys to now feuding with the smallest dudley. Dumb.

Larry Zybesko and Slick Johnson manage to get on-screen time once again. Why? I don't know. Eric Young is now having a match with Johnny Devine which feels tacked on, but at least it gives Eric Young a chance to go out on a PPV match and get a win here. Plus, its against his ex-Team Canada mate Johnny Devine, which leads to some back story. And he'll certainly have a better match with him than with the likes of A1.

Christian-Steiner wasn't very good. Cornette is getting annoying with his constant talk of not wanting to be on TV on the time "like some other promotions" and yet he is on TV all the time lately. Then, he starts talking about ratings and PPV buyrates and such. Bleh. I'm growing tired of authority figures. The finish was predictable with Sting and Jeff Jarrett coming down. Eh. I hope this goes away sooner or later.

Well, I thought this was a decent iMPACT. No worse than the usual train wrecks that are Raw and ECW, at least. With that being said, yes, I agree that the history of Sting video was not needed. All it really did was take up valuable time. It would have been fine as just one segment, but breaking it up over the course of the show wasn't that bright. Eight months really isn't that much to work with when the guy limits himself to one match per month.

Eric Young is golden once again with the Wendy's and Christmas in July comments, and finally it looks like he'll start wrestling in what could be a good match agaisnt Devine(who appear to be the jobber of Paparazzi Productions after his loss tonight and beatdown last week). Maybe after that all this paranoia will be dropped and he'll compete as an X Division star, which could be interesting if he ends up against Petey.

Speaking of which, adding Lethal to the match was a good move, although I don't neccessarily want him as the champion. He may be over with the crowd, and has talent, but I still think Petey should be the one to strip Senshi of the X Divison title. Regardless of the outcome, it is shaping up to be a great three-way match.

The crazy ending was to be expected, with it involving Double J. It was a decent match before the interference, but now I'm seriously expecting a heel turn for Christian Cage costing Sting the title. It works well with the schedule too, and since Rhino is getting incredibly over(going into the crowd, burning the ECW belts, etc) I don't think it's far fetched to expect the War Machine to defeat Jeff in Detroit for the championship.

Much better show than last week, although none of the matches were anything special.

Rhino defeated Jarret for the belt last year at Bound for Glory. I really doubt they will repeat that again this year, expect Samoa Joe to beat Sting for the title at Bound for Glory. Joe beating Sting for the belt would be a much bigger deal then it would for him to beat Jarret for it.

I just figured since it's his hometown they'd have something big for him planned, especially after how short his other title reign was.

Wow, did noone order the PPV? I'd start the talkback myself, but I didn't actually see the show.

Probably a smart move, too, considering how the main event had another Jeff Jarrett screw job ending (not to mention the fire that happened).

It's just a money issue. I, and probably most others here, can't afford them or we have more important things to buy. As much as I'd love to order these ppv's, money disappears as soon as it gets into my pocket.
