So this is where it was....
Either way, I'm psyched for Rhino-Joe next week. Not many matches this week, but a whole lot of story line advancements. Team 3D is on a break, Brother Runt might challenge for the X division title, LAX wants a title shot, Christian Cage will be with Sting, and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting.
Though I was displeased with the ending to Lethal-Jarrett, that stroke did look brutal.

That was the best impact in a long time. We got two good matches tonight (with Lethal-Jarrett being great at points), and a Rhino-Joe match set up for next week that should be a good, physical brawl. They got over a lot of characters, and this was exactly the kind of show TNA needs regularly, especially after such a lackluster PPV.
Jesus...I know it's hard to find on the wrong board and all but in general it seems TNA threads are now dying a slow death. Which is a shame too, as TNA as a whole is completely outclassing the WWE on everything as of right now.

Well nothing against anyone at ToonZone, but most of the members of this message board are WWE fans no mater how bad the product is right now. There are still a handful of TNA faithful here at ToonZone though. So as long as at least one person cares to talk about TNA on here, I will continue to put up TNA talkbacks and next time it will be in the right forum.Originally Posted by Punisher

Carry on.![]()
Hahaha. Rhino and some guy have a squash match that literally lasted ten seconds. What is even the point of these? Its great that they are mercifully short, but c'mon, if they are so short, what's the point of even having them? As much as I hate Rhino's new anti-ECW gimmick (even if ECW sucks, its stupid to do this gimmick), I like that Rhino is feuding with Samoa Joe.
I would just like to mention that TNA had yet another laughably bad segment in the Styles/Daniels/LAX thing. Konnan signs the contract in CHRISTOPHER DANIELS' blood. AJ Styles says "WELL PARTNER, WE GOT SOME CONTRACTS HERE." AJ Styles tells K Dawg to SHUT UP and K Dawg says something about LAX being on them faster than a monkey on a cupcake[?]. Konnan says "YOU EXPECT ME TO READ THAT CONTRACT FROM HERE?" Who wrote this? It was perhaps the most hilarious thing I've seen (at least recently) in wrestling. Nice finisher from Homicide on Styles.
Eric Young and Jeremy Borash: comedy duo.
Obligatory Larry Zybesko / Slick Johnson scene. Why are they being used? I don't know!
Gah, what the hell, TNA. Another cruiserweight tag team. These two guys should be bolstering the X Division. And why is Matt Bentley once again "Maverick Matt" with Frankie Kazarian in his gay haircut and terrible white matching tag team ensemble. Terrible. But at least the match with the Naturals was great. This thing with Shane Douglas is still funny.
Paparazzi Productions is funny. Nash is probably actually first seeing these type of matches. I wonder where this goes.
Nice promo from Bobby Roode. Why the hell didn't he talk before?
Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal actually put on a good match, with Jarrett putting over Lethal, too bad this really serves no purpose as I don't see Jay Lethal even close to the main event in the future. I could be wrong though. It just seems like this would be better suited for Daniels or Joe or somebody closer to the main event scene.
Is Christian Cage being held back as Sting's lackey like Alex Shelley is held back as Nash's? Is this as unnecessary as Shelley/Nash? Probably. Move away from this in the main event scene, TNA. The only way this could be worth it is if Christian turns on Sting.
"Leaping Lanny and Randy Savage are brothers, and Randy Savage, your name is Randy Poffo. THAT'S RIGHT, RANDY POFFO. You're ashamed of going around calling yourself Poffo so you probably got the name Savage because you're ashamed of putting yourself on the same level as your brother because he is much better than you are. YOUR BROTHER IS A HUMAN BEING. YOU'RE NOTHING BUT A SCUMBAG. THAT'S WHAT YOU ARE; YOU'RE A DOG. YOUR NAME IS POFFO." - Ronnie Garvin to Randy Savage, ICW Wrestling, 1980.
You're going to whine about TNA doing that? Kash/Noble and London/Kendrick are basically Smackdown's tag division, and SD's the show with the cruiserweight title. The only thing that makes it acceptable is that the CW title is a joke at this point anyway so even guys as great as those four can't really help the situation. TNA's X-Division will be fine without a couple of average to slightly above average guys like Bentley and Kazarian, and I, for one, am glad to see Styles & Daniels out of the division for awhile so both the (sort of) new guys like Senshi and Lethal as well as guys who have been pushed aside like Sabin & Dutt can have some time in the spotlight.Originally Posted by Condiment King
The Rhino/Joe segment was great, other than the fact that it means that Rhino and Monty Brown wasted 10 minutes at Victory Road and nothing's going to come of it. I expect a very similar finish next week, because even if Rhino is the one to end Joe's streak, it's not going to be on free TV.
Well, of course, TNA is in better shape with its divisions than the WWE. With the brand extension, the Intercontinental and United States championships are rendered useless because both titles have like only three guys perpetually going for them, and they have to create teams to make the respective tag titles worth anything.Originally Posted by Dirtbag
And I'm not as annoyed with the fact that TNA is using another two cruiserweights for the tag division as how they are presented. TNA presents Styles and Daniels as this preppy tag team with matching tights and everything and they do the same with Bentley and Kazarian except worse with this crazy white stuff and a terrible Kazarian haircut. The packaging for this team is horrendous.
And also, the X Division is thin now. With Sabin (and Dutt or Lethal) doing their feud with Nash, three teams in Styles & Daniels, Kazarian & Bentley, and potentially Shelley & Devine. Its basically just Senshi, Petey Williams, and maybe Dutt and Lethal. If I'm going to move Styles and Daniels away from the X division, it'd be to the main event (though that right now is cluttered with Jarrett, Sting, and Steiner unnecessarily being there). I'm not whining, I just don't like it.
Though I'll admit that "Maverick Matt" and Kazarian, Shelley and Devine, and Styles and Daniels all used for the tag titles is very refreshing compared to decrepit tag teams like the James Gang and Team 3D. Maybe its not such a bad idea, its just the packaging seems forced.
I don't think Rhino will be the one to end Samoa Joe's streak. Samoa Joe will probably lose the NWA world title when his streak is over, or at least he should with how long they've built it up.

This was a ok to good show which had some hilarious moments, intentional and unintentional).
The Paprazzi Productions segment was great again. I loved the 2-sided ring lines.![]()
Now that's how you push comedy acts instead of shoving them down our throats with lame kiddie humor (DX) Once again, Nash unexpecedly steals the show.
Now the Styles/Daniels/Lax segment was unintentionally hilarious. First you got Christopher Daniels the thief, stealing Austin's "Eh, Eh" then AJ Styles being horrendous on the mic (Well partner.![]()
) and then Konnan with his usual hilarity (monkey on a cupcake
![]()
). Capped off by an assault which was pretty cool till the whole blood thing (which the WWE did years agao with Vince doing that to Hogan) Well, at least other tag teams got some sort of rub when the champs read their names (but not Diamonds in the Rough). TNA seems to be paying more attention to their tag-team divisions than the WWE.
Main event was pretty good. Jay Lethal really had more offense rather than a simple squash.
Christian Cage had another great line when talking about how there were camera all the time when he's backstage.![]()

Grampa: I say we call Matlock. He'll find the culprit. It's probably that evil Gavin MacLeod or George "Goober" Lindsay.
Bart: Grampa, Matlock's not real.
Grampa: Neither are my teeth, but I can still eat corn on the cob, if someone cuts it off and smushes it into a fine paste. Now that's good eatin'!
I couldn't be happier that Kazarian is back in TNA. I like his new fade, but his white ring attire is horrendous. Shazarian and The Naturals had the best match on the show. The Naturals went over cleanly, but the Shazarian didn't lose any heat.
Paprazzi Productions might be TNA's breakout stable. I don't care how much backstabbing Nash has to do; he needs to become the number one contender for the X-Division title.
The tag title segment was funny for all the wrong reasons, but I respect Daniels and Styles for facing the criticism of them holding the titles. It's a good idea but bad execution.
Rhino needs to move beyond being anti-ECW. Next week should be a change of pace since he has a match with Joe.
The main event was entertaining because Lethal got more than some token offense. However, the ending was confusing. Why doesn't Christian Cage take care of Steiner by just challenge him to match at Hard Justice?
This episode was a vast improvement over the last three weeks.
The opening tag team match was okay. Maybe Maverick Matt and Kazarian could have a match with the Diamonds in the Rough to see who's going to be TNA's jobber tag team. Other than winning now, the Naturals don't seem a whole lot different in the ring. Can Shane Douglas still wrestle?
Gasoline to the eyes? Yikes. That's pretty lame, TNA.
Eric Young is great in these outside-the-ring segments. Jeremy Borash is not.
Why is Jeff Jarrett always yelling at Mike Tenay? He's just the play-by-play man. Shouldn't he be complaining to Jim Cornette?
This week's Eye Spy segment was pretty funny. I can't wait to see Kevin Nash compete for the X Division Championship.
Robert Adams was one sorry looking jobber. Rhino versus Samoa Joe sounds like a pretty good match. I wonder how much of it they're going to give away next week on free TV. Right now I'm expecting Monty Brown to interfere, so his match with Rhino back at Victory Road will at least have some meaning.
Team 3D's taking a break? Didn't they just have one last year?
Hopefully Gail Kim versus Sirelda won't waste too much time at Hard Justice.
I'm not a fan of Konnan, but I'm looking forward to seeing what the rest of the LAX can do. The move Homicide hit on AJ Styles looked awesome.
Larry Zbyszko, just go away.
I wonder who they plan on having Bobby Roode feud with. The heavyweight division is pretty crowded right now.
Jay Lethal got a lot more offense against Jarrett than I expected him to. He might have fared even better if Sting hadn't waited until the match had ended to come out and attack Scott Steiner.
Haven't seen much TNA lately but did catch this show so just a few random observations.
WHY is Jarrett champ again? Even people who have only seen a little of tna are tired of this guy. Abyss should have won king of the mountain and feud with Joe over the title.
This is how you use Nash, to put over Papparazzi Productions and not bury the x-division. He can be a good mouth piece, but he should do the J-O-B to Sabin.
Why are they pushing the Naturals? Kazarian/Bentley are better wrestlers and have more personality. I know they may still be mad with Kazarian for jumping to wwe but Bentley has paid his dues. And why is Elix Skipper stuck in some crappy tag team with David Young? He should be one of the top heels in the x-division.
I would also move Styles and Daniels to main event status and shunt Cage/Sting/Jarret off to their own three way feud.
I was wondering where this thread was, as I didn't see it on Friday or Saturday.
Rhino gets the super-quick squashola, then draws Samoa Joe for this Thursday. On paper it should be good.
The last time Jingles Jarrett faced Jay Lethal, he squashed the kid like a grape. This time he sells for Lethal, and needs Androman Steiner to help him win the match. When will they set it up where Cornette tightens up the rules and there are the more frequent DQs for crap finishes like this?![]()
LAX v. Styles & Daniels? Ok, is Konnan ready to get squashed by Sirelda?![]()
Bobby Roode going solo will be good for him and TNA. They need fresh blood in the heavyweight division.
Kazarian & Bentley vs. the Naturals was the best match on the show IMPO. Sure, Shane Douglas was upset despite the win, but he won't be happy unless the Nats win the tag titles, and they will. They'll be the ones to unseat Daniels & Styles. Tenay mentioned that Bentley wrote & recorded his own theme. It'd be nice to actually hear it instead of Tenay & West talking over it! Can't access TNAWrestling.com now with my home PC inactive for a week or two.
Overall, a better than average show.
