Isn't the whole point of the new series to make a Doctor Who you don't need to have seen the old series to understand? I know more than a few interviews have talked about how the new cybermen have a brand new origin.Originally Posted by Lord Dalek
This is true, but from what I've heard at OG there will be several refferences to International Electromatics as well.Originally Posted by HellCat
Well, 7pm and it's late....did I miss something?
Starting now... according to the announcer guy!
IT'S COMING SOON...
THE AMAZING RACE 2
They've just mentioned Torchwood again.
No....preview?Now I know how the old time fans felt!!
It was ok, I think the cold opening was a bit cheesey. Additionally, I know Lumic was supposed to be ill but the guy playing him came of as kind of hokey...that I kept thinking of TriggerYou have to feel sorry for Mickey in this ep, always second best.
The idiot that invented Strictly Dance Fever can kiss me arse for the 20minute delay.
The episode, brilliant, I was nerly physicaly sick during the "Processing" scene but damn it was worth it.
BBC can also kiss me arse for no post credits preveiw.
What exactly happened? I know they admitted a delay and they had one technical fault on Strictly Dance Fever.Originally Posted by Conan-san

Still doesn't excause the preview lack. And I meen after the credits, like how it was in "Empty Child".
*nods* I know they did it with Empty Child cause older fans complained after Aliens of London. Could they have complained again after Empty Child?Originally Posted by Conan-san
Theory I have on next week based on the partial focus of this episode- Mickey will die and be replaced by Ricky.
As a Gundam Fan, doesn't that strike you as sorta unacceptible? ;p
Wha?Originally Posted by Conan-san

You know what I meen?
Uh, completly different situation. That's apparently killing a character and then bringing them back with amnesia. Either that or you're referring to replacing a character who was a clone with another clone. This is replacing a character with a parallel version of themselves, which Star Trek once did with Harry Kim. Note that Mickey noticed the possible hazard with Ricky's grandmother's carpet. It wouldn't suprise me if Mickey and Ricky bond next week, Mickey dies in a partly successful attempt to take down Cybus, Ricky goes home and found his grandmother fell down the stairs and he chooses to join with the TARDIS crew (and if we're lucky, chucks Rose into the time vortex...).Originally Posted by Conan-san
Oh...that's going ot provide the headache for me.Originally Posted by HellCat
And, hey, Rose's been better since day one, I think Bizaro-Jackie shouting at her drove that point though to her nicely though.
And you know, just as well as I do that chucking Rose into the Time Vortex is the equivialnt of leting the Ideon run amok, you want to do it but ultimately, it screws over all parties involved.
You know, I'm suprised I missed it during School Reunion, but with Anthony Stewart Head appearing then and the amount of "will they, won't they?", we really should have gotten a Nescafe joke.
Interesting synopsis from Wikipedia:
EDIT: Aww, they've already taken that off.In an alternative universe the Doctor meets an old enemy. Cybus industries like a satanic version of google are getting ready to upgrade humanity.

That was a delbrate decision by the BBC. I thought it was a good idea.Originally Posted by Conan-san
