I was enjoying Smackdown quite a lot over the past few weeks. With this, and a few more things, this will be the first time in a while that I've paid no attention to Raw or Smackdown this week.
For those of you who thought that they dropped the Tim White angle, you were sadly mistaken. Here's the latest chapter to this sad, stupid saga. With a video clip to boot.

I hope they don't do more of these crappy bits. But knowing the WWE, they will.![]()
Grampa: I say we call Matlock. He'll find the culprit. It's probably that evil Gavin MacLeod or George "Goober" Lindsay.
Bart: Grampa, Matlock's not real.
Grampa: Neither are my teeth, but I can still eat corn on the cob, if someone cuts it off and smushes it into a fine paste. Now that's good eatin'!

This will definitely improve wrestling!![]()

i do not uinderstand why they are doing this
...another reason why I stopped watching wrestling was dumb storylines that have nothing to do with wrestling. Tim White trying to kill himself, Eddy/Rey and the kid, Batista is accused of rape, Eugene...Katie Vick....blah blah blah.
The WWE writers aren't talented enough to make these angles even remotely interesting...but they keep trying to emulate the writing stlyes of real television dramas.
Tree Squirrels don't hibernate.
Most WWE writers came from real televison dramas and have no knowledge of professional wrestling and the guys that do (Paul Heyman) are sent to developmental promotions like OVW, which in turn has better storylines than the WWE has.Originally Posted by Redi

Don't give them any ideas, this angle could become even worse than we thought.Originally Posted by EinBebop

This is McMahon's idea of humor, and no one but him finds it funny. But it's his TV show, so he's going to make you watch it. Never mind he has a roster full of painkiller addicts and guys who don't see their 50th birthday.
See, the thing about the first skit that bothered me wasn't that it was suicide, which was bad enough, but that I knew what they were trying to do and they failed at that.
If it was to show that the Hell in a Cell ruins lives, it was useless to make the people who had already paid for the show to see it at the show. And who remembers that Tim White was hurt in the Hell in a Cell besides the long-term fans? The same fans who had to sit through Katie Vick 4 months later.
Second, if it was to show that White fails trying to kill himself, they needed to mention or show that at the show. Don't get me wrong, attemped suicide is NOT FUNNY at all. But the gag is that the audience immediately knows that the guy did something really foolish instead of offing himself. They played it up like White really did kill himself, which ruined the joke out of the gate. The fact that they will continue to do it until either the crowd starts laughing or Viacom pulls the plug again (like with Hassan) only makes it worse.
I finally watched this today and my god, what are they even trying to do with this? I'm not offended because it's offensive, I'm offended because it's insulting and stupid.

I can see a TNA promo now. "Oh yeah, have a ref try to kill himself every week, THAT'S MONEY!".
TNA would be better served not to mess around with that kind of stuff too much. WCW did this and it was part of their downfall. TNA needs to establish that we want to watch TNA, not we want to watch something that isn't WWE.Originally Posted by MGFanJay

It's bad enough WWE is coming up with more ridiculous and stupid plotlines... but that gargling sound effect at the end?? It sounded like something out of "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes"!
And that toe bandage?? Look, WWE "writers", if you're going to start using serious topics like rape and suicide to promote "wrestling", don't kill the mood by using sound effects from B-quality shlock or having your "rape victim" sue their violator for money instead of calling the cops on them.
Either do it right or don't do it at all.

Another awful attempt. I hope this is the last of this awful angle.

Good lord. It's a good thing Edge and Angle are the champs, or WWE would be screwed right now.

YYYYAAAAAYYYY!!!!!
I was three of the movies before they were dubbed.
Lol
I just don't get this. If I were Tim White and my chosen career was ruined I would be happy to be involved in the on air product again, but the fact that this is a "WWE.com angle" just makes it worthless to me. Obviously, UPN doesn't want a man trying to kill himself on SmackDown! and that should have been the end of it. This whole thing just disappoints me from a company-wide perspective.

If Tim White wants to get killed so bad then why not just stick him in the Hell in a Cell. He's afraid of that damn thing since he got injured in it in 2002.![]()
