Jack Colvin, the Hulk's "Mr. McGee," Passes Away at 71

    Howdy,

"Mr. McGee, don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry."

Actor Jack Colvin has passed away at the age of 71 due to complications following a stroke. I know there's more than a few fans of the 70's live-action Hulk show 'round here that would want to note his passing.

At the very least, Jack Colvin will be fondly remembered for his work in "The Incredible Hulk". Even though he played the "evil tabloid reporter", Colvin played a very sympathetic villain. In spotlight episodes featuring Jack McGee, we discovered McGee to be a principled and compassionate character. After the "creature" saved him in the plane crash, his pursuit of the Hulk took on a different spin in which McGee wanted to save the creature.

I think in the hands of a lesser actor, we would have gotten a more campy, mustache-twirling kind of villain. Colvin gave McGee compassion and pathos.
