Is Dark Angel any good?

I was just reading all of the archieved reviews from IGN and I'm wondering if it lives up to the hype I've heard about it. I hope it doesn't just rely on Miss Alba's looks for ratings.

I hated the first episodes, someone on a TiVo message board recommended that I watch the season finale and that wasn't too bad. This summer I'll be catching up on it (Its a TV show, why don't you just watch it and see if its good or not?)

Can't believe it got a 2nd season while Lone Gunmen didn't though...

I watched a few first episodes, but wasn't that fascinated with the plot (which is pretty common scifi) or intregued by the characters. Being female, I don't give a flip about how hot looking the female lead is. I don't think I'll give the show another look after viewing those commercials about the 'Max in Heat' episode. Really ticked me off! Sorry, but human females do not go into heat! Really pandering to the hopelessly horny male audience, there. Yuck!

And the Lone Gunmen is a gazillion times better--and Yves is just as sexy as Max, if not more so!! There is no justice.

Not to mention the show has a hundred and one cliches, and its producer Cameron, got sued for alleged plagiarism of a book called "Friday" (I forgot the author...it was a well-known sci-fi author with the last name starting with "H")
