    "WWE RAW" Talkback (Spoilers)

    Like This Thread!
Who will be the voice of RAW? Will Stone Cold show up to avenge his friend? Find out at 9 p.m. ET tonight on USA!

    A RAW deal
    October 17, 2005

Mr. McMahon promised that someone would pay for Stone Cold’s actions at WWE Homecoming, but he never officially fired anyone. Instead, WWE CEO Linda McMahon shocked the world when she fired Good Ol’ J.R., Jim Ross, from the RAW announce team and delivered a humiliating low blow as her and her family celebrated in the middle of the ring. J.R. has been the voice of RAW for years, so what will RAW sound like without the proud Oklahoman?

Mr. McMahon said that he wasn't going to fire Stone Cold Steve Austin, but he did say that he had a plan for the Texas Rattlesnake. After hearing that McMahon has a plan for him, and after seeing one of his best friends fired and humiliated, will Stone Cold show up on RAW to raise some hell?

Plus, it seems like everyone is gunning for John Cena’s WWE Championship. Last week Big Show, Shawn Michaels, Edge, Carlito and Kurt Angle all said that they should be the new No. 1 contender. All six were involved in a monster six-man tag match last week on RAW that saw Kurt Angle pin John Cena. Will a clear-cut No. 1 contender emerge on RAW this week?

Also, Triple H revealed that he beat Ric Flair to a bloody pulp at WWE Homecoming because he couldn’t bear to sit back and watch anyone spit in the face of Flair’s legacy. The Game said that he was the one that made Ric Flair great again, but that was over now. He said that Flair is no longer the Dirtiest Player in the Game, and in fact, the game was over for Flair. Will Flair be able to respond to Triple H’s comments this week on RAW?

And this Monday will also mark the return of the Big Red Monster, Kane. We haven’t seen or heard from Kane in months. How will the big man make an impact? Plus, Mick Foley will be the guest on Carlito’s Cabana. The Hardcore Legend has been silent since SmackDown’s Randy Orton hit him with an RKO at WWE Homecoming, so Foley will surely have a lot to say.
Don’t miss all this and more this week on RAW at 9/8 CT on the USA Network.

Hurricane just unmasked and I believe turned on Rosey during the break on Unlimited.

I wonder if that's a permanent heel turn of if it will be like the turn from last year which lasted a show.
Grampa: I say we call Matlock. He'll find the culprit. It's probably that evil Gavin MacLeod or George "Goober" Lindsay.

    Bart: Grampa, Matlock's not real.

Grampa: Neither are my teeth, but I can still eat corn on the cob, if someone cuts it off and smushes it into a fine paste. Now that's good eatin'!

...Well that was anticlimactic. I hope they aren't serious about Coach being permanent play-by-play man. That solo commentating job was awful.

"GORE! GORE!" ... Way to go, Coach.

Eww. It's Edge. Bleh. And his mistress. Double bleh.

So like yeah. Coach sucks on PBP. Let King take over. At least he's not as bad as Coach.

Oh! Battle Royales always grab my attention.

Any chance that Kane will re-mask? (He was far more ominous when you couldn't see his face.)

Huh? What's the point of him having a mask again if we know what he looks like? Before he was unmasked, people wondered what he looked like. Giving it back will just take away the mysterious-ness of him away and it's kind of pointless.

Well... we could always have Orton set his face on fire and say that he's even more hideous now...........

or come up with some equally ridiculous and fake pretense.

    Oh joy. Ric Flair self-mutilation.

So um Randy = WWE's new pyromaniac? Cool

And wow. I have never felt like crying during a WWE promo. Call me weird if you want but seeing all that blood made me so sick that I wanted to cry.

Awww. no stunner? Just a hatfull of Beer? I feel so cheated. People really need to beat on coach more often.

So what is it gonna be? a 20 on 1 no disqualifications match?

I guess the WWE does want JR back until they can find a new play by play man, or else they just realized that Coach might destroy their ratings. I don't care who gets involved in their Taboo Tuesday match, I just don't see Austin losing to the Coach, especially if the WWE does want a Hogan/ Austin match-up.

So At Taboo Tuseday, we can expect some ridiculously unfair match between Austin and Coach, where the McMahons will nearly fire Austin, but he'll pull a victory out at the last second, stun everyone, and JR gets "re-hired"?

    Or is that too easy?

Ahhh, we see the second Flaw of the Masterlock. In additon to being a really lame looking move, it doesn't work on ridicuolusly huge dudes. (ie: Kane)

I don't know, I see Austin losing the match at Taboo Tuesday because isn't JR in some kind of surgery right now?

I guess we have an interpromotional feud in the works with Edge and JBL. Two heels. I don't know how that will work.

Foley's segment was quite disappointing actually. Possibly the worst promo he's done.

Flair cut an amazing promo. One of the best promos of the year. Awesome visual with him spreading his blood all around.

Austin had some funny lines but overall it went on way too long. I guess since he's wrestling Coach, JR returns.

Kane wins a hell of a rush job regarding the battle royal. I wouldn't be surprised if he turns heel.

I'll go with HBK in the main event. As should everyone who would want to see a great wrestling match.

I also don't see them having Austin lose because his deal with the WWE films was for 3 films, and I think they just finished the first. JR may be in need of colon surgery, but he'll have 3 weeks to get it and recooperate before he'd be needed back on RAW (November 7th).

I agree HBK will probably win the fan vote (he did last year), but I suspect it will be a close voting competition because Kane is always deserving of a title shot, and Big Show just doesn't get enough screen time.

I will say you've only got 2 weeks TWE fans to register for the tag team division i you haven't done so yet though (as a cheap cross promotion).

Too bad everyone says 'ZOMG TABOO TUESDAY IS TEH RIGGED"D' Even though it was reported that last year people could delete their cookies to vote for like, I dunno. x100000000000 times?

Ah John-John. You're better on commentary than you are on the mic. I don't know why but he entertained me greatly.

Um what else? O! Steph annoys me x100 more than ever.

So.... How many points did Kane earn you guys on Fantasy? I don't play but I see people jumping up and down at the amount of points they got.

Yeah, unless WWE gets a kick of originality, the Taboo Tuesday match will certainly involve SO MUCH UNFAIRNESS to Steve Austin, to a very overdone and annoying extent. Of course, it's a semi-retiree vs. Coach, so it's hard to really be disappointed regardless of what happens. But I can't figure out whether it'll be a "martyrdom" match or an "against all odds" match. Since JR's "firing" seems to have real-world reasons, I'm leaning towards the martyrdom scenario. Then again, it could be a big work...

Only thing this show had going was Flair's promo and the Carlito/Michaels match.

Seriously, welcome back to 1998 yet again with Austin vs. McMahons. Why does WWE put nonwrestlers vs. world champions/former world champions on big shows such as PPVs or events like WWE Homecoming? I mean, people have to pay or tune in to watch that?!?

Kane winning the Battle Royale was way too predictable and HBK is the only legitimate opponent for Scotty 2 Hotty, er, John Cena.
