Actresses who don't/never do nude scenes, why make a big deal out of it?

If they don't want to be nude in front of millions, that's perfectly understandable and it means they're actually levelheaded in an insane, perverted world.

Unless you personally know every single actress who has done a nude scene I would would balk at calling them immoral just for that. Some people don't have hang-ups about their bodies. Everybody's different and while I respect that you don't want to see that I really have a hard time when people put other people's morality in question because they are comfortable with their own bodies.

And personally, I really don't care one way or another if there's nudity in a film or not. It's never been very high on my list of requirements when I decide on a movie to watch. I only ask that I be entertained for the hour or two that I spend watching it.

In addition to Fone Bone's point, I will add that not everyone who wants to see their favorite actresses naked is a pervert. In fact, it is natural to appreciate the beauty of naked women (or, if you like, men). So I would say you are not qualified in your statement of who is levelheaded and who is insane.

Sex sells. Anything sexually related will get into the tabloids and tabloid news shows, and that's why these sorts of things are advertised and make it into the public eye.

Why do you think SWORDFISH got all the publicity it got? It wasn't for its acting and writing, that's for sure.

That's pathetic. So those actresses don't or never do nude scenes. So what? It's their decision if they want to be nude in front of millions...no, BILLIONS, of people. It's not worth griping about.

And like what Leeping Larry Jojo, some of them are TV actresses, so they can't really be nude on TV. Who knows who's watching the shows...probably some kids...

I think it's strange when the part kinda demands nudity in a movie and there is none. Example: Sin City. Great movie, loved it to death, but I'm still baffled by the stripper who doesn't strip. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but if you have a moral objection to nudity (like Alba supposedly said she did) then why even take the part? I don't think it hurt the movie at all, or that the nudity was crucial to the plot, just something I noticed watching the movie.


P.S. I cant think of the name of it right now, but Jessica Biel has a movie coming out soon with a topless scene. Scratch her name off the list

The part of Nancy didn't require for Alba to take all her clothes off. Showing off her boobies was not nessasary for the character she was playing. Rodrigeuz, from what I've heard, recommended that Alba strip nude, but when the actress refused he backed off. Nudity's not always optional; in some scenes it's essential in order to capture the right mood of the picture. In Alba's case however, stripping down to her undies was enough to do what that scene needed to do - excit the male crowd.

Just wanted to reminded everyone that the list of actresses we're discussing is not actresses who don't want to be nude in movies, but actresses who HAVEN'T been nude in the movies. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Scarlett Johansson has no qalms about appearing naked on screen with a romantic lead. She mentioned something in a recent interview about wanting to go naked for her sex scene with Ewan Mcgregor on the set of "The Island", but Michael Bay stopped her because of the younger demographics watching the movie.
