Scientology has changed him for the worse. The thing is that he thinks he has every right to do the things he's doing, as he believes he's ben promoted in his religion. Pretty soon, I wouldn't be surprised if he himself was reffered to a psychiatrist (although obviously by that time he'll have had his brain mushed by this crap of a religion).
