I'm waiting on if the WWE will do some trades before midnight. I have a feeling they might make some minor moves.![]()
The fourth pick, Christian.
The fifth pick, Batista.
They are both pretty equal.
They were both better off on RAW.
None of the above.
Tonight will be a big night on more than one front for SmackDown! On one hand, the final two draft picks will be announced and on the other, JBL, Chris Benoit, Booker T, The Undertaker and Muhammad Hassan will compete for the SmackDown! Championship. Big Show was also supposed to be involved in this match, but he went over to RAW, along with the injured Rob Van Dam.
For this historic 2005 Draft, RAW and SMACKDOWN! will each get five draft picks.
The picks will all be drawn at random. RAW will draw from the SMACKDOWN! roster. SMACKDOWN! will draw from the RAW roster. All RAW & SMACKDOWN! Superstars can be drafted. Champions, Divas, announcers, general managers. Everyone is eligible to be drafted!
The Draft will take place from June 6th until June 30th.
One pick a week per show, until the final week when each show will get two picks.
The fourth and fifth RAW pick will be revealed on June 27th.
The fourth and fifth SMACKDOWN! pick will be revealed on June 30th.
General Managers are allowed to trade until Midnight on June 30th.
SmackDown! Championship
June 30, 2005
History will be made in Anaheim as SmackDown! will crown a new champion when six Superstars are scheduled to battle for the right to be awarded the brand new SmackDown! Championship.
In an interesting turn of events, Big Show – one of the six scheduled to compete for the SmackDown! Championship – was drafted to RAW this past Monday. How will General Manager Theodore Long handle this situation? Watch SmackDown! to find out.
Otherwise, JBL, Booker T, Chris Benoit, Undertaker and latest SmackDown! Superstar Muhammad Hassan will certainly take part in the incredible elimination match Long announced last week.
Meanwhile, Melina, still fuming about Michelle McCool’s attack in Arizona, has demanded a match with McCool, who came to the aid of Heidenreich last week.
Plus, SmackDown!’s fourth and fifth lottery selections will be announced. Who will it be?
Don't miss SmackDown! on UPN (8/7) CT.

Man, another cruiserweight match that ends in run-ins.At least this time I enjoyed the Mexicools more. I liked their Juan Deere trailer
. And how the Juice introduced Psyocis and Super Crazy.
I'm glad Melina won. Match was better than expected.
That Eddie/Rey segment was very weird. So why was Dominque happy to see Eddie after what he's been doing to his dad?Perhaps Dominque is Eddie's kid? Maybe that's where they are going with this. In any way, This whole angle has turned very Russoish. And that's not a good thing. Yet another WWE angle turned for the worse.
I find it a little puzzling why Tazz was falling over JBL, praising him. Yet 2 weeks ago Tazz was offended by the smack JBL was saying about ECW.![]()
Good to see Christian on Smackdown. He got a lot of support from the Peeps.
No shock that JBL won and also no shock that Batista showed up. I'd pencil that match for The Great American Bash.

Grampa: I say we call Matlock. He'll find the culprit. It's probably that evil Gavin MacLeod or George "Goober" Lindsay.
Bart: Grampa, Matlock's not real.
Grampa: Neither are my teeth, but I can still eat corn on the cob, if someone cuts it off and smushes it into a fine paste. Now that's good eatin'!
Don't you mean The Great American Bash?Originally Posted by VCXZX
While we can’t speak to the experience of Muhammad Hassan the man, I must say that I couldn’t ask for anything more from Muhammad Hassan the character. Everything he says is believable at least from his point of view that it just works and works very well. He may not be stirring up the controversy in the media WWE had planned, but I don’t see this act getting tired anytime soon.
Daivari should have ran out of the ring the other way as soon as he saw his charge duck out towards the aisle.
With all the quality matches Velocity gives us, you’d think the “Cruiserweight Champion of the World” (why the hell do they call it?) could be used as more than a plot point to further another storyline.
I hope the Mexicools get in the ring soon. Juventud is good in the ring and he’s not a bad on-screen character, but every single word he says sound like he is literally trying to force it out of it mouth. I know English is not Juvi’s first language, but there is a reason he was always a supporting member of WCW factions rather than the leader.
Melina looked great in her SmackDown! debut. She wasn’t too bad in the ring either. The match was short, but it wasn’t a train wreck or anything. Oh and Michelle looked good too.
This thing between Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio just got a lot more personal and I’m more than a little concerned to find out why that is.
Christian will hopefully be a great pick for SmackDown! Captain Charisma is an excellent talent with charisma (yep) to spare and the fans really respond to him be it good or bad. I just hope they use him well. They did a lot better with Matt Hardy than RAW ever did so I’m cautiously optimistic (I hope Tomko comes over in a trade, both of them would be better off).
Now that was a main event. It lasted quite a while and they didn’t just eliminate a couple of guys right away to cut the field down. I was pleasantly surprised how much time they gave to the match. You know next week the Hassan will be talking about how he was never really eliminated from the match. The final three played out well, but I didn’t like the outcome. I knew once Christian started taunting Booker he was going to get his head taken off.
So, the World Heavyweight Champion comes to SmackDown! and according to Batista’s own words, RAW now belongs to Triple H.When Long was talking about how they didn’t need a SmackDown! Champion anymore I clung to my hope that my initial prediction of Cena being drafted back and then was a little disappointed to see Batista. RAW has now all of the original WWF Titles with SmackDown! left with three WCW belts and a SD! created Tag Team Championship. The fans here and elsewhere call SD! a ‘B’ show and WWE sure isn’t trying too hard to fix it.

Unfortuately again, the streotypes ran in again. Hey, Vinnie Mac, make Psychosis put his mask back on! Otherwise, a ***.5 star show.
I thought the point of the Mexicools was to denounce the racial streotypes (judging from what Juvi said last week on SD!, something along the lines of "you think this is all we're good for?") by ridiculing the american stereotype of mexicans...if only I could actually understand what Juvi was saying though.Originally Posted by NozeNuggets

Well London can't catch a break on SmackDown! His four straight weeks of matches on the main show have resulted in one loss and three interrupted matches. I'm still not sure what to think of the Mexicools yet. Now that they've properly introduced themselves to the WWE crowd, maybe we can see them in a match next week.
Well the divas match wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. I certainly could have done without all of the shrieking. Heidenreich needs to hurry up and make another friend.
The segment with Eddie and Mysterio was certainly strange. My initial guess as to where this is heading is basically the same as VCXZX's, but I wouldn't mind being wrong. I'm a little surprised that they're continuing this feud after what happened last week.
I like Christian being drafted to SmackDown! With the additions of Angle and Carlito to RAW, the Cap'n should have a better chance to shine on SmackDown!
Well that was the longest TV main event I've seen in a long time. Overall it was a pretty solid match; it never got very exciting, but it was also never boring. The swerve at the end wasn't too surprising, but I'm still glad it happened. The last thing I want to see is JBL as champion again.
A mediocre show for a mediocre program is all that came to mind for me. You can see just why the fans weren't as involved with Smackdown! as the were RAW this last week. The Mexicools have been involved in a couple of matches on Velocity already, so enough with the intros. Get them into the ring. The divas match was just as we all expected. The draft picks were easily called, but at least the JBL/ Batista feud they were pumping up for before Wrestlemania is back.
I agree that the main event was a great highlight. It took 20 minutes before anyone was disqualified, and then we got a 2 for 1 special. I just wish Christian had won the match though. He deserved more ringtime than he got, but then again, he was doing 2 shows in the same night.
Next week, it's on to Sacramento for another Supershow with RAW! I wonder what they'll do with the new aquisitions and the 4th of July theme. ou can be sure it'll all lead up to The Great American Bask though which, ironically speaking, has the same colors as Independence Day.
