The killer in the comics WAS Joe Chill. Some stupid writer came in and decided that it was no longer canon. I mean, if it's not broke don't fix it.
[Contains Batman Begins spoilers]
Do you fans like when they change some details in the Batman movies which aren't in line with the comics or animated series? Which additions or changes pleased or disliked you?
At first i hated the new batmobile, it broke off from the established concept but after seeing the movie i really like it.
The character of Rachel Dawes is not very inspired to me, Bruce's love interest, Rachel Beaumont (or smthg like that) in the mask of the phantasm was better.
Joe Chill as killer of Wayne's parents. As far as i can remember, i think in one comics it proved it couldn't be Joe Chill. In Batman & Mask of Ph., it was Jack Napier. Personally i prefer an unknown killer.
And the list goes on...

Jack never killed Batmans parents in BTAS, it was always unknown, but if you go by the animated comics then it was Joe Chill.
Could someone post little comic references that are in the movie? I'm usually really bad at those things atleast with only one viewing i only recognized Zsasz(was that him?) holding a knife to Katie.
In the comics OR animated series? Why should the animated series play into this? If there's one thing I cannot stand, it's people holding the animated series up on some pedestal where it's of equal importance of the comics. The only TRUE Batman continuity is that of the comics. That is his primary medium.Originally Posted by DarthM
And for the record, the animated series screwed up comic continuity FAR more than Batman Begins did.
"There is an idea of a Patrick Bateman; some kind of abstraction. But there is no real me; only an entity, something illusory. And though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable... I simply... am not... there."
